Still playing? I'd have to go with Chelios. I hated him when he played for the Habs because of all those stupid penalties he took, but now, I'd very much like to see him on our blue line.

Claude Lemieux.

Bobby Smith for simply leaving the Spectrum and 'thanking' the Philly fans on his way out after a win...that was a heck of a game...

Guys don't forget Craig Ludwig with his goalie shin pads . No wonder Roy looked good Carbonneau on point blocking shots and if you get it past him you had to contend with Ludwig.

those were the days were you worried about opposing players taking a slap shot from center ice. Roy seemed to get caught sleeping a lot.

25+ goals last year!

Even Ryder would have score more than 25 goals playing with Crosby.

Recchi is mine, by far. He was my favourite player for the longest time.
Recchi came to mind when I saw the thread ... while I'm a Habs fan in Oil Country, and I did cheer for the Oilers during the '06 playoffs, it was easier to accept the 'Canes winning because of a guy like Recchi being on that team ...

For me it's Stephane Richer.. first jersey I ever owned. I look back at his old rookie card and he totally had a sweet pimp-stache.

Easy choice: François Beauchemin. What a game he played in 2002-2003.

But he redeems himself by getting the overtime goal and help lead the team to Stanley.

If I remember correctly it was against Philadelphia. Paul Holgren and another Philly player stayed on the ice so he wouldn't shoot the puck. They even turned the net around. But the last Habs player with Lemieux went down and turned it around, Holmgren and whoever were just off the ice, they saw it and came storming back. A few other Flyers then came on the ice.

Apparently

While Lemieux is getting pummelled, one of the Habs trainers went storming into the Habs dressing room to announce that Claude was getting beat up. Nobody moved. Finally Robinson says - okay lets go help him. And the brawl escalated.

Since i'm an ex Nordiques fan turned bad I don't have much older players that I like... I think I'd go with Fichaud also since he played with Les Sags.
