This is Muckler's second big deal, and like the first, every team seems to have a clear reason for making the trade, and every team can come out feeling good.

To me, Ottawa will be BETTER offensively than last season. Our defense is now more offensive than before, and Havlat only played 18 games last year. We should have a quick strike attack thats even better than last year.

Heard interview with John Muckler yesterday afternoon on the Team 1200 in Ottawa.Muckler sounded really depressed.He still pining away for Zdeno Chara

Chicago takes the biggest risk on this deal as they get someone who is immensely talented but prone to injury and sign him to a potentially ridiculous contract. Good thing the contract is only 3 years just imagine if the Hawks had signed Havlat to a Yashin type contract.

Ottawa did very well in the deal and even if none of Ottawa's guys work out (unlikely) they still pay next to nothing for clearing cap space.
