Bulis close to the door

As Hockey Trade Rumors report:
"Forward Jan Bulis had a career-high 20 goals last season but the Montreal Canadiens won't bring back the 28-year-old Czech Olympian. His agent Jiri Crha said Friday that a deal was close at hand with another team.

"There are a few teams that want to sign him," said Crha. "I think something will happen very soon."

I know this web site isn't credible but it make sense

As of July 1st he's been out the door, so the only way he could even be considered close to the door would be if he's about to sign with the Habs.

With the players they might lose from being possibly demoted to Serie B, you just never know

I still can't believe we're letting him go for nothing. It doesn't matter what bunches he scores them in, 20 goals is 20 goals. And as of yet, BG has done nothing to replace that.

But, in BG I trust, so I know he sees something I don't - and I know he's doing what's best from the team. I may not agree with everything he does on the surface, but it's a heck of a lot better than the Rejean Houle days!

Nope, he played center for a few games and he was great. Too bad Gainey never left him there.

Spector mentions him as a center and I was wondering if there was any truth to it.

Thanks!

Didn't TSN's Ice Chips say the other day that we were "foolish" for letting him go? Uh oh!

We are, sorry but I'd take Bulis as a second line center before Ribeiro any days of the week and twice on sunday. Bulis never was given a chance at center position after he excelled at it for a few games and at least he brings something to the table (defence) unlike Ribeiro.

Well, maybe always was too strong. Almost always; the guy should be listed as a LW only at this point.

As for whether he was great at C... that's a matter of opinion. I'd rather have Ribeiro.

You only can be great as a center if you win faceoffs regularly. His ratio was, if I remember correctly, no less than horrible.

Bulis will sign elsewhere, score 25 goals and be a great 2-way forward for them. I feel the best is still to come with this guy.
