I've played a little game!

Hi everyone!

I was surfing trhough my regular NHL trades rumors web site and I've notice at www.thefourthperiod.com that Carter and Poti were on the trade block.

Since Habs fan have the reputation of posting Homer proposal, I've decided too play a little game and go ask NYR fans what would they want from the habs lineup for Carter )except for Koivu and Komi) (I've started a thread in the NYR boards) and the answer that I've got are very interesting but notice that these proposal are made by Fans and not from Glen Satter!

Here are some proposition made by NYR fans:
Carter to MTL
Sourray or Hainsey & Sundstrom to NYR

Carter, Poti & Hlavac to MTL
Sourray, Sunstrom and Ward to NYR

haha Carter for Hainsey and Sundstrom... damn I'd do it for sure.

Carter, Poti & Hlavac for Sourray, Sundstrom and Ward I dont know.. If you put Hainsey instead of Sourray I`d do it.

I'd be ready to give Hainsey, Ward & Sundstrom straight up for Carter. And then I'd run away fast because that would be one heck of a steal!

Those deals are both very fair, except at this point trading souray would be a disaster as he has the potential to be a great d-man on this team for years to come.

the 2nd deal, maybe replacing Souray with hainsey and upgrading sundstrom (Kilger maybe) would make it alright?

I don't see this helping the Rangers one bit. I don't want to lose Sourray, but I know you have to give to get...so I would say do it, but Rags won't go for it, (unless it was a straight salary dump) then they would want Prospects & Picks.

those trades seem very fair in both respects, however the rangers are notorious for dumping youth and probably wouldn't want hainsey and ward. so if you could put kilger (i love this guy it kills me to put him in) in wards spot and i guess you'd have to put in sourray (hes our best d-man this year) id like to put in rivet with his salary, but you must give to receive and sundstrom for carter and poti, plus the rangers would have to eat some salary. just my 2 cents

Ideally i'd like to package some garbage ie: dykhuis and some picks for carter but thats just dreaming

then if we get carter (ha thats a movie title) audette can miss open nets in hamilton with traversse and get deeked by junior high kids in rollerblades
