Ducks vs. Kings

Its the offseason, and I feel like a little friendly competion. Who do we think has the edge in these categories (if they were to play eachother with their current line-ups), between the Ducks and Kings? Don't just put Ducks cause you are a Ducks fan or Kings cause you are a Kings fan. Honestly put what team you think has an edge, even if it means the team you aren't a fan of. Who does the edge go to in each category?

Offense: Ducks for now.
Defense: Same as above
Goaltending: If Giguere leaves, that's a tossup.
Young players on team: Ducks
Prospects: I'll wait to decide.
Coaching: I'll take the guy with the Cup ring.
General Manager: Don't know enough about Lombardi yet.
Fans: Kings
Uniforms: Kings
Skating Ability: Ducks by far
Toughness: If the Kings acqusitions play as they look, the Kings. If not, the Ducks.
Work Ethic: Ducks. They get the most out of what they have, which doesn't look like a whole lot at first glance.
Excitement Level of Game: Ducks
Potential: Depends

Thanks Reaper, well put. Mighty Adam is a terminally optimistic duck fan - even posters on their board would agree. And before I get bashed by any other duck fans who might post here - I mean that in the best sense of the phrase.

I think the Kings will be better than expected.

I think the Ducks will not be as good as expected.

Still, I think the Ducks will be better than the Kings.

It will be more interesting in two years for both teams.

It would be nice to see both teams in the playoffs. A playoff series would be even better.

LA probably has the most fans out of any Western Conference team (besides the Canadian teams) who use message boards on a frequent basis in which they expose their hockey knowledge and overall opinions, and in comparing those people, I find many uneducated, ignorant King fans, and there are those that are satisfied with mediocrity as well. Of course, this does not apply to all King fans, but again, when you have so many of them frequenting boards, you can find out quite a bit, and judging by what I've read from King fans over the years, it in no way makes them superior to Duck fans or any other team for that matter. I suppose you can judge fans which don't participate in online discussion as well, but I'm not factoring that in.

Ah, no pretending here; I am a fan of both teams incase you forgot. And a replacement variable is not considered changing a post.

If you want to sound smart and educated, avoid run-on sentences.

So, your argument is that there are a lot of Kings fans and some are satisfied with mediocrity and whose "hockey knowledge" doesn't measure up to yours?

Ok, here's another method to break the perceived "tie" you have between Kings and Ducks fans:

NHL Attendance Leaders:

00-01 LA 17th, ANA 28th
01-02 LA 16th, ANA 30th
02-03 LA 12th, ANA 26th
03-04 LA 11th, ANA 23rd
05-06 LA 12th, ANA 24th

I should have spent the time making sure my post sounded smart and educated by limiting my use of run-on sentences to please you. Only an anal-retentive internet nerd would give a ratís ***.
