How It's Made: Hockey Sticks

The show How It's Made on the Discovery Science channel visited the Sher-Wood factory. They showed how they make wooden sticks. Interesting and worth a look. They had huge racks of all the pro-models they've made. Prominently displayed was a Lidstrom stick. Must have been old because I know he's used Easton for a while. It's amazing how much manual work still goes into the wooden sticks.

I've seen it before, kinda neat. I think they keep a large pattern collection for "clones" and to send out samples to pro players. I forget how many patterns they said they had but I think it was in the thousands... NUTS!
