if they really thought johnson was a 3rd or 4th line winger, they probably should

not have traded for him... dont they pay bonk over two mil to play 10 minuits a

game on the 4th line. seems like another big waste of money

open your brain people. Politically correct Gainey says he is on our 3rd line winger but in the back of his mind, he knows he has some insurance that he has a capable C with scoring abilities waiting in the wings. He's not going to say that tho. Johnson did awesome for a period this year playing with Comrie - he is capable to be successful on a scoring line.

Gainey is smart and not going to say everything that comes to a mind - he's not an Ilya Bryzgolov.

I thought about that when we acquired him... could he be the right handed big center we need ? He's not physical at all, but he's speedy, 6'2, can score goals and setup plays.

Yeah Gainey said he's going to be our 3rd line RW... so what, you really believe him after all he says to the media ? He always hides what he really thinks...

Also I saw some people bring the faceoff argument... well, of course he had like 44% last season, but Ribeiro had 44% too...

I'd like to see Carbo try it and it would certainly spark Ribs up to play better.

Gainey and Carbo made it clear, its Ribeiro's last chance to stick with the Habs. Fans, live with it.

In a perfect world, our second center would be Saku. I love him, a lot, but the Habs will be an elite team when Captain'Saku centers our second line. I put my faith on a deal during the season involving, amongst other things, our great prospects to finally get a real first center. Then we'll be in business!

That was my view before he even signed with them. More than a few people will be on their last chance with the CH. This year it was Kednik, Bullis and Sundstrom that got the boot. I believe the Habs have a lot of hopes in Ribs but if it`s another season like last year, it`s all over. I wouldn`t be surprised if he`s traded before the holidays. They`re going to give him all the chances he needs. Better not screw it up.

I like Bob and Carbo`s way of doing things in this matter.

They are sure doing everything to help him succeed wheb they give him the two most talented wingers on the team. I can see Ribeiro having a career year this year because of that.

Bob and Carbo have been talking about Johnson as a 3rd line player (I even heard 4th sometimes)
