Alex Henry

Is there any information on his signing or will they let him go? Seems to me that they could find a place for him. Can p[lay defense or forward.

He's too slow for the new NHL. He was unable to adapt and no longer fits with what Doug Risebrough, our GM and our coach, Jacques Lemaire want in a player. He was an inexpensive role-player used to tide us over until better players came along. He only played wing because we had 8 defensemen on the roster. He also played left press box on many occasions.

No, the Wild had zero interest in resigning Henry. The only reason JL put him at forward was because he couldn't play defense under the new rules. The guy is just too slow and I'd be suprised if he was picked up by ANY NHL team this season.

He'll either sign a minor league contract, go to Europe, or retire, IMO.

Even if someone offers him a contract, it won't work out. On his way to sign the contract he'll be too slow to catch the plane, and that'll be the end of that.
