I'm with you 37-93-27

This group can skate, hit and play solid defence. Make the smart head-man pass and overall they are a very mobil group.

Maladog and Purinton (who I like) just don't have enough of any one of those combinations to warrant top 6 status.

My guys and combo's are:

Leetch-Mironov
DeVries-Poti
Kasparaitis-Bouchard

I'm willing to give Malakhov a shot however either on the Leetch pairing or next to Kaspar, which then I'd scratch Joel Bouchard and go from there. I want Kasparaitis and Mironov as part of my blueline.

I'd take Tyutin and his rookie mistakes over at least half of that crew..

I agree. Malakhov is at least competent defensively and can move the puck.... Kaspar is a joke, I dont know what happened to the Kaspar of old. He is the most overpaid player in hockey IMO.

The only thing that I will say is that anyway you slice it, Bouchard needs to be in the top 6. To me, one of the M&M or Poti should be sitting each and every night and fighting each other for the open spot.

I agree as well. Kasparaitis is as defensive a liability as any Ranger d-man right now. I drop Dale and Kaspar as well.

Definitely, Malakhov had a slow start, but at least give him the credit he deserves for what he's being doing lately
