I'm surprised none of you guys posted this yet. Maybe it's in another thread? Anyhoot, what do you guys think of him now? He definitely has a lot of talent and the one Hawks game I did watch on OLN showed me he got his confidence back. I think Vrbata might even do more damage now that Havlat is in town.

that's assuming Yawney the genius will play Havlat and Vrbata on the same line for more than 2 weeks. But Yawney is a moron.

Havlat plays mainly LW but can play C and RW as well.

Man we got Vrbata locked up on the cheap for 2 more years!
I thought most folks had Havlat paired up on a line with Ruttu and Calder. And whats Calders contract status anyway? Would hate to see him traded since he doesn't want a long term deal right now. He is the Heart and Soul of this team and a clutch performer. Anyone heard any rumours?

Havlat and Vrbata on the same line would be too fancy. They need to be first pairing powerplay, but that is too much dangle on just one line.

Havlat - Ruutu - Calder would be a fantastic line.

He actually mainly plays RW. He'd play LW on the PP back when Hossa was on the team, but in most ES situations he would at least line up on the right side.

YEs it would, thats if Ruutu and Havlat can stay healthy most of the season, which from past history is doubtful, but this is a new season so you never know.

Exactly, so the Havlat - Ruutu - Calder line has little chance of happening, Havlat will want to play RW.

Calder - Ruutu - Havlat?
Ruutu - Calder - Havlat?

Can Vrbata play LW?

If Ruutu is healty, I think that the lines are going to look to something like that:

Calder - Ruutu - Havlat
Bourque - Sharp - Vrbata
Bochenski - Smolinski - Vorobiev
Holmqvist - Arkhipov - Lapointe

Spares: Salmelainen, St-Pierre

Maybe on the PP, but at ES I doubt it.

I don't think that there is any way that Bochenski and Vorobiev are both going to make the team in front of Salmelainen.

Camp will tell us for sure, but there is a lot of "man love" from the front office (especially from Tallon) for Tony S.

I read (in this forum somewhere) that they gave him a two year, one way deal.

They should put him on the first line to get two good offensive line.

Salmelainen - Calder - Havlat
Bourque - Ruutu - Vrbata

or something like that.
