Kastsitsyn Questions

Do you guys think he can make the team next season(assuming there is one)?

What player would you compare him to?

What is his upside?

I think he can play.

His upside (as I have read) is Peter Forsberg.

Timmins said after he drafted him that he was ready for NHL .. so if he's still the same i think he'll be ready for next year ...

Can't imagine anyone writing that. There will be some major disappointment if anyone actually expects that.

I doubt it. That is more like wishfull thinking. I didnt see him play so I can't give you an accurate comparison, but if he had a upside like Peter Forsberg, even with his disability(if it is one), he would've been the number one pick without question.

Let me pull out the Red Line Report from this year's draft

Quote:
Projection: 1st line scoring winger for top tier club
Style compares to: Peter Forsberg

Comparing style and upside is quite different. You can play similar styles, but that has nothing to do with talent.

It's been said that he was one of, if not the most skilled guy in the draft and if it wasn't for his health problems he would have been in the top 5 of a great draft.

I don't think there's a lot of doubt he'll be a first liner, and I think his upside is huge.

I'm not expecting him to put up Peter Forsberg type numbers, but that is one helluva compliment for him. RLR also said he's the best player in the draft.
