Make me an offer for one or a package of these players.
The only man there I'd be interested in is Matthieu Schnieder. I'd toss over Brent Sopel for him and his salary. Not sure if Burke could do it though, financially.
I'd be interested in Fischer, Datsyuk, and Shanny(although not at his salary). I have no clue what I'd offer though, likely nothing as the Canucks are fine as they are...
i hate to beat a dead horse, but what a lousy GM you have. he is now dumping salary because he has tied his success to Alexei Yashin's 90m contract. all he had to do was not trade for Yashin, kept chara and spezza and your team wouldnt need to dump salary.
I wont even start on the tired Jokinen, Heatly, Luongo vs Dipietro, Parrish and Kvasha, never mind Bertuzzi.
Why isnt this a-hole fired before they start correcting his poor lack of planning ?
OT, but this fan is really getting tired of it. I was virtually a minority of one for a long time, trying to defend Milbury's litany of youth-or-more-established-talent deals, all with the idea that NYI would keep looking to improve and contend nearer-term. Now, with the team off to a good start, the balance of the roster meshing together over the last couple of seasons, and an exciting infusion of youth....they now decide to start looking at the bottom line!
I'd like to be able to say that ownership is tying Milbury's hands, and to an extent, that most certainly is the case. However, other GMs have had to deal with limited budgets and yet have found success, even if it is fleeting. (BTW, this rant is not based on one Jason Weimer. It's based on what is rumoured to be on the horizon - more cost cutting.)
What we have here is plain for any NYI fan to see. The Isles have reached their thre$hold. They will go no further economically to better the team, and, in fact, are now moving in the other direction. Welcome to the land of mediocrity and have-not franchises.

you know ... its one thing for MM to have made these deals with the idea that "the time is now". ok, im not one of this cliche guys that has to have all my players under 22 or they are busts. however, you cant mid point change your mind and start reversing the trades you have made, why not just have stayed where you were ? why dump Weimer for a prospect, when you could have just kept hte prospect you traded to get him (and saved the money you claim you dont have). Its retarded.
im sure you know what i mean. it must be frustrating for the die hard Isle fans to watch this guy with a "yo yo" model, build this team (or tear it apart)
