I'm sure they make a lot less then the player....But I'm sure they make a lot more then you and me

My guess is somewhere around 100,000$

For the coach it should be between 500k to 1M$

The Assistants Coaches get habitually 350k each

No it isn't. They're paid according to how much revenue they bring in.

You're right about that. Most coaches make over a million dollars a year.

Therrien made 2M$ when he coached here.

I understand that, And I understand that before the NHLPA and agent and stuff players didn't get what they deserve.

But I dont understand why Fans should pay 100$ to see Players that are paid 1-2M and the only reason they're paid millions its because they drag people in the arena that are willing to pay hundred of dollars. We spent money because they cost money because we spent money etc etc....its

I think it would be better if they lower the price of the ticket and lower the salary of the player. (but yeah I'm just dreaming)

Coaches earn less than a million per season, I remember that in recent years one of the best paid in the league was Pat Quinn, at a million per season, no way therrien earn 2 millions. Maybe 600 000 per season over 3 years, but no way he earned more than that

No, you're right, that doesn't make sense.I said 2M$ because I recall that when Therrien was fired, the media was reporting that he was still going to be paid his 2M$ annual salary, but I probably remember wrong.

If you can't afford the 100$/ticket, there are less expensive tickets for you. They simply follow the law of supply and demand...and even that is not optimized as I am confident they could raise the ticket prices at Bell Center (especially for the playoffs) and still have it sold out.

Is a simple/complex process that resolves itself around Offer VS. Demande. If less people wanted to see Hockey or if people stoped paying for any tickets over 50$(as an example), players would get paid less.

Its the same thing for everything on this planet right now, including the money you have in your pocket (the currency). The offer and demande for the currency influences its buying power on the international market. If people like to use American money..(for what ever reason, they think its safer then their own currency, etc.) well that currency goes up in value, etc.

No way...
There's only a handfull of coaches making 1m+. Pat Quinn, Pat Burns to name a few.

Claude Julien was making roughly 250,000 coaching the Habs so I would imagine that's the average MTL pays out (200-350K range)

I think coaches get paid more if they are veterans with lots of experience and awards and less if they are rookies with little to no experience in the NHL... similar to players...(not $$$ wise of course, but how experience and success relate to higher salaries).
