so does this delay his contract so we don't have to pay him?

I was at the press conference to introduce him. He was there with his parents and says he is looking forward to skating with the Attack this upcoming season.
Should be quite the team this year, Trevor, David Kolomatis, and Tomas Kana all siging up.

Obviously the Kings will not be paying him while he is with the Attack.

Good, I hope he lights it up. The Kings never really had guys in juniors. I mean I can only think of a few the past few years. Lehoux, Pushkarev. And even now, only 6 guys out of all of our prospects. Lewis, Holloway, McGinnis, Ryan, Seymour, Bernier.

Ha, yeah I forgot about a few.

I'm sweating buckets out here. I mean I sweat in the damn snow, but when it's 105 with 80% humidity, I'm pouring. I trained yesterday and lost 11 pounds alone.

Something that hasn't been mentioned yet is that Ducks prospect Bobby Ryan will, most likely, be playing for Owen Sound again, so that should be good for Lewis. They may even be linemates, which would be absolutely terrific for Lewis' development (not to mention a little ironic... a Duck and a King as linemates). Owen Sound might just turn out to be better for Lewis than some originally feared.

think was because in the old draft rules you could have more control over college/euros then junior guys.

Now... its nearly the same these days.

Good that this kid gets a year in juniors before heading to the Kings/AHL.

Speaking of which. Does this year down in juniors count towards a year of his contract?

With Bobby Ryan likely coming back for another year, the prospect of Lewis lining up with Ryan is a strong possiblility. Owen Sound will also be suiting up Bob Saguenitti (#21 pick- Rangers), Tomas Kana (#31 pick - St. Louis), and Theo Peckham (#75 pick - Edmonton). As well all the returning players will help make this team something else!! Great year to develope this kids into winners!!

On paper this team will contend with the best of them in the entire CHL. As for Lewis, he should be a good fit in the OHL (especially if he's flanked by Ryan) but I like the options that the college route provide the Kings.

I understand Marek Bartanus is still returning to the Attack as well?

(92nd pick - Tampa)

They also added Wayne Simmonds (was to play at Bowling Green).

Lewis should be in a very good place.

Stothers knows what it takes at the next level and he's looking to have quite a powerplay brewing....and a very experienced team.
