Game Thread; Columbus/Montreal - 11/11

My first Habs game ! I''m going to Montreal tomorrow from Calgary at around 4:30 in the morning for a tour of McGill, with a bunch of my friends. Ironically enough the (Bell?) center is going to announce my school, "Western Canada High" over the intercom. Looks to be a fun experience - we're sitting in the highest seats of the stadium, with all the rowdies.

In the spirit of the game I'm going to predict a 7-0 drubbing by the Canadiens, over those annoying Blue Jackets who trounced my poor Flames .

I know I haven't been here for a while, but doesn't jl. Roberts start game threads? nothing personal Zoid, but I think he's the designated game-post starter.

Well, while we're at it, I predict another 3-0 Canadiens win.

No, jl. roberts doesn't always do them, but it's certainly a treat when he does, and I wouldn't mind if indeed he was designated to do them all - no offence Zoid , enjoy the game.

I'll go on to predict a 4-2 win by the Canadiens, with them even getting a power play goal.

Gazette this morning said that Garon gets the start and that Perrault is a healthy scratch again.

I tend to agree. Damn, you'd have to live on this site to get those totals. 24/7, all year long.

He averages 2,065.33 posts per day.
86,05 posts an hour.
And 1,4342 posts a minute.

As you can see, that is impossible. Since, the site has a rule for the quantity of messages you can post in a minute. Well, the average user atleast.

The guy is probably an admistrator of the site or something important. Otherwise, those totals just don't seem right.

Keys to the Game
  • Zednik has to break out of his scoreless drought. The fact that he is being outscored by Alexandre Daigle does all but show that our offence is horrendus when we get down.
  • Speaking of being down, that's one thing the team obviously has to key one. It would be very interesting to see the Habs' record after scoring first, and vice versa.
  • The Habs' lack of scoring could be expressed through the powerplay, too. Rivet, though I like him as a player, has no business being out there in that type of situation. While he'd be playing the "wrong" side of the rink, Hainsey shows that he's really at home on the man advantage. The insertion of Kilger on the Powerplay is a nice option for Julien, and Charron, to toss around.

Key Matchup

vs.

All right!! I scored tickets for tonight... Here's to a blowout victory!

6-0 Habs

(On a more realistic note, I predict a 3-1 win)

P.S. It also happens to be my 100rd post!

Well, now that Perreault's into the line-up, where does he play?
Does Ribeiro shift to wing?

Oh, and for anyone who cares...tonight IS :

TSN just reported Perreault is scratched again tonight on Sportscentre..?! Who's right?

Two Kingston boys, Muller and Gilmour, in attendance tonight.

And Begin throws a couple of lefts Luke Richardson's way. Anyone see this fight?

Perreault is playing with Ribeiro and Ryder.

Habs going on a 4:00 pp.

Audette/Zednik/Koivu out there. Too bad, I'd rather see Kilger.
