Goren - AHL forward.
Tremblay - AHL defenseman, call-up incase of injuries.
Heshka - AHL/ECHL defenseman.
Ruiller - AHL enforcer.
Edler - good prospect, AHL for now.
Hansen - ditto.

Nonis, using GMspeak, said that Goren will be given every opportunity to push current NHL'ers on the team for a spot. I think the reason Goren chose to resign with Vancouver/Moose, over Europe, was for this exact reason. I would have rather seen Balej given the chance over Goren; nonetheless, it will be Goren, Shultz and King who will be fighting over one RW spot on the 'Nuck's roster this Fall.

Tremblay, if he is signed, will most likely start with the Canucks - not on the farm. No way he leaves Europe to start in the minors at his age and with his relative experience.

In my dreams I see Edler as the NHL rookie-of-the-year...hah...wouldn't that be nice. But you are right, one full season in the minors is what he needs right now - same with Hansen.

Well, pencil them in for the Stanley Cup.

Didn't Tremblay make a serviceable Top 4 defenseman for the Thrashers a couple years ago? He won't be in that role with the Nucks...so it seems like a decent signing to me.

That was with the trashers. They had a terrible defense a couple years ago.

I will be disappointed if Tremblay plays for the Canucks. Fine farm fodder, but if he's playing for the big club it either means injuries or very poor depth on D (or both).

Edler, Heshka and Hansen were all fantastic in the W last year. Best of luck to them in the A.
