In my mind

In my mind the list should be like this

1. Brodeur
2. Kipper
3. Luongo
4. Vokoun
5. Khabibulin
6. Kolzig
7. Hasek
8. Roloson
9. Fernandez
10. Fleury
The top 4 picks are really no brainers. Khabibulin despite having a little bit of a bad year when he is hot he is really hard to beat. Just ask the Flames. Kolzig well he is basically all alone. He is out there with a bunch of rookies so they make so many mistakes but yet he is bailing them out pretty often. Hasek well I hate the guy but when he isnt injured he is pretty darn good. Roli just look at the 2006 playoffs. Fernandez has had one of the best GAA for the past couple years. He really has to be on here. Notice that Fleury is the only younger one. IMO I think he is one of the only younger goalies to have proven himself. He kept his team in it when his team had absolutely no defense to help him out. Most of the penguins games were losses but, they were all closer games then you would think.

and why is brodeur so high. the last time he had above 92% was in 96/97. i agree that he is top five but he is not the best.

For the upcoming season: Still don't know how Hasek's situation will work out.

Kipper
Luongo
Brodeur
Vokoun
Khabibulin
Miller
Nabokov
Turco
Gigeure
Fernandez

Lundqvist
Roloson
Lehtonen

Why are some people ranking Roloson so high? He had a great playoff, but an average season, and is a year older. Lundqvist and Lehtonen could very well be in the top 10 this season, if they stay consistant.

Look, Lundqvist played a great total of 56 games in the NHL. I think it's kind of bold to put him in the top 10 right now after so few games. If he has as great a season next year then yeah I'll put him in my top 10

Cheers

He's done NOTHING in the NHL. Lundqvist has proven himself, Lehtonen has not.

I think Lundqvist has proven himself to be a solid goalie during most of the regular season but I don't see a clutch performer there.

Yes I know about the olympics but that is a whole other game.

Proven himself more than Lehtonen was my point. I don't consider one great rookie season being proven, especially when he was terrible in the playoffs.

No love for Garth Snow?

Right now, he's the most powerful goalie in the league...

Nabokov is easily a top 10 goaltender when he's healthy, and don't call him injury-prone because he's only had one season disrupted by injury. But I wouldn't put him in there at this point.

Not yet sold on Lundqvist/Ward/Miller/Niitymaki/Lehtonen, but if i had to pick one, i'd say Lehtonen right now cause he put up decent numbers in front of a crappy D and not so great team.
DiPietro over Miller and Lundqvist

A top 10 goalie doesn't have a 3+ GAA or career numbers of .900 and 2.85.

(PS. Miller has more playoff series wins then DiPietro has playoff wins.)

See I would have loved to put him in there but his less than average season marked with losing the starting job in San Jose, I see him in the top 11 through 15 now.

You are being a little unfair there. He was not healthy in the playoffs when the Rangers got swept. After the series instead of playing in the World Championships he had surgery. and He shared nothing with Kevin Weekes. Lundqvist carried a team that had no business winning 30 games this season.

To say that you don't see a clutch performer is garbage, he won the Swedish Elite League MVP in the playoffs during 05 and carried his team to the championship, and how you don't consider Lundqvist robbing Jokinen with 7 seconds left against Sweden clutch, well I don't understand that.

Only one goaltender was better than Henrik Lundqvist this season when he was healthy and that was Miika Kipprusoff (Not by much)

did someone honestly just imply that Johan Hedberg is a better goaltender then Marty Turco

Turco: 41 wins, 2.55 GAA, .898 SP% - 3,910:12 TOI
Hedberg: 12 wins, 2.67 GAA, .898 SP% - 1,078:50 TOI

yeah its really obvious Hedberg was the better goaltender! Cause I mean Dallas could trade back for him and Im sure theyd win 53 games with Hedberg playing in goal for 8 out of 10 regular season games. /end sarcasm

alright seeing as none of the stats back you up and Ive proven my point, I'll move onto my list.

Kipper
Luongo
Vokoun
Turco
Brodeur
Fernandez
SHOUT OUT TO OLAF KOLZIG
Rollie
Lundqvist
Johan "The Moose" Hedberg

hope that satisfies everyone!
