I'd rather have Fedorov and Klesla than the entire Hab package.

At least Zherdev and Nash were omitted from this monstrously bad proposal. Thank god for small mercies.

Doesn't help Columbus at all. They have no need for Aebischer, and they downgrade from Fedorov (okay, an aging Fedorov) to Ribeiro?

I don't think this trade would work for either teams.

Columbus: Run a risk of losing all 3 players at the end of this season and what could be a very good 2nd round pick for them next year, which is a usefull pick as they still are in a building stage.

Montreal: Markov is too important for the teams offense and they get stuck with Federov who has too big a contract and, since I presume that you are looking at him to fill out the second line center role, I also don't think that would work as he looks to be seriously slowing down and most of his offense in the past was a product of him playing a defensif style game and scoring on the transition game.

If the Habs were confident that one of their centre could take over the 2nd line duty in 2007-2008, they might be willing to swap Ribeiro for Fedorov...

And Colombus might be willing to do the same thing if they see the potential in Ribeiro...

So maybe try this trade:

To Montreal: Fedorov+2nd

To Columbus: Ribeiro+3rd

So Columbus would have a younger and cheaper centre and Montreal would have a Russian line in Samsonov-Fedorov-Kovalev.

But it will never happen nomather what...

Ribeiro is not good he is to small and had one good season every habs fan hates him and want them off their team. I have 5 friends that are habs fans and they all want him gone. Souray is like a concrete pylon with a hard shot he can hit people but rarely lines him up.But he does make the highlights a lot when he gets dangled every night. So why would columbus want these two players for fedorov and klesla.

Columbus has no reason to trade Feds. They are loaded with youth, and he brings experience/leadership to that team.

Montreal will have to buyout Ribeiro

These boards are relatively poisoned on Ribeiro, he's quite a lot better than most people now give him credit for (and I used to think I was a Ribeiro hater ). I suppose if Columbus was in cap trouble (they're not), and the Habs had cap space (they don't) then a swap involving Fedorov and Ribeiro wouldn't be all that ridiculous. Fedorov practically couldn't even be given away last year, after all. The rest of it falls apart more, though, since Klesla is on a sweet contract now and Souray is UFA after this season. I wouldn't take it as Blue Jackets fan, and I wouldn't take it as a Habs fan either (due to Fedorov's contract).

Fedorov is not for trade... and doesn't even have that much value.

Klesla is a flat out stud..

I thought I was the only one who noticed.

This so called Montréal fan has never made a single post on the Habs board.

I don't know what it is....maybe it's just a feeling, but I don't think he likes Mike Ribeiro, Sheldon Souray or Michael Ryder.

He was RFA and Gainey offered him a nice raise (and a 1 year contract though).
He's not that bad.

But why people have to answer at these proposals ?

Everyone knows it's crap.

Don't feed the troll.

Good Lord this is horrible....Even horrible for "hockeysfuture trade proposal homer" standards, and thats BAD!

Edit: I have just seen your other posts and they all involve Montreal getting a superstar or two and giving up, well, nothing of real signifigance. You have proposals going all over these boards with:
STL Keith Tkachuk+Barret Jackman for Michael Ryder+Alex Perezhogin+Sheldon Souray)
PHILLY(Gagne+Gauthier vs Souray+Ryder+lower pick)
SJ ( McLaren+Steve Bernier for Sheldon Souray+Alexander Perezhogin+Mark Streit+2nd pick 2007)
**and MY personal favorite**
WASH(To MTL : Ovechkin for David Aebischer, Michael Ryder, Andrei Markov, Alexander Perehogin....yes, he went there!
PHILLY (again)To MTL : Simon Gagne, Keith Primea for Richard Zednik or Mike Ribeiro , Michael Ryder, David Aebischer
and the list goes on and on....

Youuu, you wouldnt happen to be a HABS fan, now would you?

Evreyone makes bad proposals, I for one in my Jack Johnson, Jordan Stall thread, but did this guy ever had one that's fair for both teams!
