MTL/DET Proposal

To Montreal :
Datsyuk

To Detroit :
Aebischer
Ribeiro
Perezhogin

We'll have an excellent center to replace ribeiro. We have Danis, Halak, Desjardiens that could be the backup goalie for Huet and if perezhogin goes, we'll have some place for a rookie. Our lines :

Samsonov - Datsyuk - Kovalev
Higgins - Koivu - Ryder
Chipchura - Plekanec - Johnson
Murray - Bonk - Begin

WOW!! What do you think???

PS : The GM of Detroit said, when Detroit was eliminated by the Oilers, that he could trade Datsyuk for a goaltender...so why not!!

What is Datsyuk's contract status?

If the Habs could get Datsyuk locked up for 4 or 5 years I would for sure pull this deal off...although I do not understand why Detroit would make this move Datsyuk is one of the best players in the NHL even if his playoff numbers are not all that great in his last two seasons.

Ouf, there is no way Detroit makes this trade.

Also, I don't think we need a guy that has 3 goals in 42 playoff games.

No thank you we do not want Datsyuk's on our team. Sure, he's got highlight-reel moves and amazing regular-season numbers, but he sure isn't all that great when they need him to be.

I don't want Datsyuk, they can keep him. On top of that, everyone thinks that Aebischer and Perezhogin suck, and they don't, so we can keep them, it's better for us.

No way does Detroit make that deal. They could get a much better package for Datsyuk, even with his very poor playoff numbers.

Ribeiro has very little value at this moment. Aebischer has some, but a lot less than Datsyuk. Perezhogin is a nice asset, but if Detroit is going to move a star player, they will very likely want a star back.

I'd do the deal of course, and I would happily take Datsyuk if the cost were reasonable. You can't deny the kid has skills, and maybe a change of scenery will do him some good.

Yeah, Datsyuk isn't exactly what we need. He's skilled but not overly phyiscal and not that big. He has elite talent but if we can get him by giving only these 3, it'd be awesome.

It'll never happen, Datsyuk's value is way higher then we think.

I heard toluene intoxications are potentially lethal. Good advise.

Thats not a good deal for both of team.

I don't want to loose Aebischer et Perezhogin + Ribeiro ( who can made some points if someone kick is *** sometime ), just against a center who is not very physical and playoff didnt mean nothing for him.

I can't imagine Detroit doing that unless you toss in 2 first round picks, or another blue chipper and a 1st round pick, it's just not worth it for them

gotta tell ya , i don't like this trade , imo ribs is a second line center who can put up 60 points consisentley and has the skill to do much more . as for peres i think we have only seen the tip of the iceberg from this kid sooooo much potential , so i think we should wait on these guys just to make sure we don't shoot ourselves in the foot and end up kicking ourselves two or three years down the road .
