Pekka Rinne will be the starter in Milwaukee with Karl Goehring backing him up. This is pretty much a lock now that Vokoun has been cleared to return to action and Mason is under contract to backup Tomas again in Nashville.

Syracuse will probably be Tomas Popperle and Ty Conklin, if he passes waivers.

And Adam Dennis to Rochester as well. Buffalo will sign him, eventually.

I was going to put Dennis as Rochester's 2nd goalie, but since he hasn't signed yet I decided not to. Not to mention that it wouldn't surprise me if Buffalo signs a vet to play in Rochester and assign Dennis to an ECHL or CHL team.

Won't Conklin be the backup in Columbus?

Hershey: Cassivi and Maxime Daigneault (with Machesney having an outside shot at Daigneault's slot, but most assume he will be the starter in SC)

Hmm. My guess would be Weiman from Colorado and either Justin Peters (hopefully) or Craig Kowalski from Carolina. If I'm lucky maybe I'll get to see a rematch of the Peters-Dennis fight sometime this season.

I forgot that the Isles signed Thompson. I'm guessing that Dubiewiecz will be DiPietro's backup this season?

Who's spot would Wiikman take in Hartford? Is Montoya expected to be the Rangers backup?

As it stands right now, Fredrik Norrena, who was acquired from Tampa in the Modin/Denis trade, is slated to be the backup in Columbus. If he schits the bed in training camp or struggles early in the season then he will most likely return to Europe, opening the door for Conklin to back up Leclaire.

Columbus- Lelcaire/Norrena

Syracuse- Popperle/Conklin

Chicago - Michael Garnett / Fred Brathwaite

The Thrashers have Hedberg to backup Lehtonen, so Brathwaite will probably be with the Wolves. Tarkki, if he is still under contract, will probably end up in the ECHL.

All I know is that he was signed to an AHL contract.

The New York Islanders, NHL parent club of the AHL's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, have signed defensemen Allan Rourke and Ryan Caldwell along with goaltender Billy Thompson to one-year contracts.

Manitoba will have Wade Flaherty and Julien Ellis playing on their squad next year. Unless something changes in the next month and a bit, as they don't have anyone else signed, besides Centomo who was on PTO's constantly last year.

Won't Edmonton be looking for places for Jeff Drouin-Deslauriers & Devan Dubnyk to play at?

Is there a reason Peoria hasn't been updated yet?
