Thats my choice to, without game missing last years, they would get 30 and more goals each. 71 games Horton and 73 for Zherdev. Thats a nice GPG%.
Zherdev got more offensive skillz in brute talent then Horton. Horton is more a sniper then Zherdev, but he bench on penality box more time then Horton.
If you remember last season, Nikolai did great when Nash was injury.
But if you ask me now who is your favorite players in the NHL ( except veteran with 32 years and more, legend like Sakic, Fedorov, Jagr etc, ) i would say Rick Nash, damn i'm in love with that guys, if my girlfirend is worry about getting cheat on, that would be Nash lol.
At this point I think I'll take Zherdev, the path he's taking seems like he'll end up like a Kovalev type of player...
Horton is a heck of a player, but he's injury prone, seems like a future Owen Nolan if you ask me, if it was a Nolan without the injuries I'll take him, but since he's showing early signs of injuries I might as well take the Russian one.
Both . Argh - this is a hard one (luckily, I have both in my keeper). I'd probably lean to Horton just because he might put up decent PIMs in a fantasy league. But this is about as close as a toss-up as you can get - they are both very different players, but of very comparable worth. I'd love to see this as a poll.
Horton! I love his game, he skates so tremendously for a big guy! Hell he's a great skater period. He's big, he hits, he can bang in the corners with the best of them. He's a natural goal scorer with a great shot. Goal scoring Power foward who plays at a very intense level. Very rare!

Horton any day of the week, he is a more dominating player in my opinion. He can change the momentum of a game in so many ways, where as Zherdev can only change it in a few. Zherdev can swing the momentum in his teams direction by scoring a big goal or setting one up, and he can swing it in the other teams direction by taking a penalty. Horton on the other hand can swing the momentum in his teams favour by scoring a big goal, setting one up, laying a huge hit, just plain hard work in the corners and along the boards to create turnovers, and he can even drop the gloves if need be. Horton does take some bad penalties some times, but I think all of the +'s he brings to the game are better than his -'s or Zherdev's +'s.
