This might be worthy of a new thread, but I'm too lazy to start one.
Why bother trying to educate people? We'll still be getting the same old bigoted stereotype small-minded crap from what unfortunately seems like a majority of the posters here.

This thread was a BAD idea. AGAIN.

Everywhere on the planet is flat compared to Vancouver, you have a friggen gondola in the city that takes you to the top of a mountain.

Hey that looks pretty flat down there!

You would be surprise with the way current world issues are headed that this is not entirely true.

I would like to WORK in the US rather than Canada simply because of the salary issue. But in terms of quality of life, Canada ranks higher ( i believe canada is ranked 10th in the world while the US is in the 20-30 range).

You are quite correct with this statement. LA has the highest amount of pollution in North America.

Anywhere but Edmonton, Ottawa, and Calgary. Especially edmonton.

Edit: Throw Nashville and Carolina in there because those cities seem boring.

Funnily enough, the city i wouldn't want to play for is the city i lived in all my life:

MONTREAL!!!

How could anybody want to play in front of fans who booed Saku Koivu (one of the few habs players that i actually admire)? Absolutely despicable, i nearly threw up in disgust when that scene occured. Oh yeah, i forgot the tax issue also.

It really is a shame since montreal is indeed a beautiful city with the most beautiful women IMO.

Shocker!

I don't think I've seen a fanbase with a bigger inferiority complex towards Canadians.

How is it any different from all the Canadians that are saying,

"OMGZ I'D NEVER PLAY IN THE SOUTH, LOLZ??"

I'm willing to bet that Nashville and Edmonton have a lot more in common than anyone in either city would care to admit to.

And I don't ever think I've ever seen such a bunch of close minded prejudice idiot bigots. Why would anybody want to be around those kinds of people?

It was actually something that rhymed with "tuck you grassmole" but I decided I didn't feel like getting banned over someone who is not worth it.

You bet they do. We are sister cities. But how many people know that? How many people know about Nashvilles Signature Tower (a modern masterpiece imo)?

One of the reason's I wouldn't want to play in edmonton

No wonder they love the oilers, what else are they going to do? Loudest crowd in the NHL? They probably have gone insane, that's why.

You know, all I've ever done is attack Carolina's obviously fake dB meter (with good reason. 145?) Never once did I say that Carolina didn't deserve hockey or that the Hurricanes should move to Winnipeg or whatever you're upset about. In fact, I've stated many, many times that I'm an avid supporter of Houston getting an NHL team. Heck, I'm not even sure what I did that makes you hate me so much, maybe it's because I'm Canadian.

I agree. Edmonton is simply not a great tourist attraction.

I'm upset because bigotry and intolerance is allowed and encouraged on this site. And it's people like YOU that promote it with your little smart-*** remarks like the one above.

I remember now why I stopped visited hockey message boards in the first place.

Yet it's Alberta's top tourist destination.

Calgary has less of a nature city surrounding with every tree being planted in the last 30 years but a nicer downtown skyline. The winter weather is fantastic in Calgary but it does get cold a couple times. Most of the time theres no snow and the streets are bare and dry. And we have the mountains 45 mins to the west and more to do than disneyland inside them.

Both cities are great and I wouldn't ever move to a large city again after spending 3 hours in traffic every day when I lived in the San Francisco Bay area.

edit: and I might add we have no idea what the word "pollution" or "smog" means.
Man, I loved San Francisco and San Jose. I can't believe you have a hate-on for these cities. San Francisco is especially beautiful, and the bay weather clears out most of the smog too.

Carolina doesn't derserve a franchise, there is no natural ice in Carolina! I don't like the way you guys say "Y'all", praise Ford/Chevy Trucks, BBQ every chance you get, and last but not least all the damn hurricanes and Tornadoes!
