Alright, how many here know the Keirsey Temperament Sorter? Basically, it is a way of profiling someone's personality based on four variables: Introververt vs. Extrovert, Sensing vs. iNtuitive, Thinking vs. Feeling and Perceiving vs. Judging. You are then grouped by you four dominant letters. Ex: ESFP= Extroverted Sensing Feeling Perceiving. There are sixteen possible profiles.
I was thinking about how hockey teams might be profiled along the same lines, and how these profiles might determine what teams you root for. So... Your top three teams. Profile them based on the following variables:
Offensive vs. Defensive (Does your team focus more on scoring goals or stopping goals?) Speed vs. Power (Does your team rely mainly on speed or strength/size?) Grit vs. Finesse (Does your team succeed more on skill or sheer determination?) Veteran vs. Rookie (Does your team rely on old proven talent or new hot shots?)
Ex: Your favourite team might be OSGV, An offensively minded, fast & gritty team that's full of veteran palyers. Keep in mind that these all fall along a spectrum, so saying that your favourite team is offensively minded doesn't mean they don't have a strong defense, too. It just a matter of which is stronger.
If profiling teams is boring, feel free to profile players as well. I'm just interested in the patterns of who people like, if such patterns exist. And possibly I'm bored. And drunk. More than possibly on that last one...
