Thorton, wow.. centering Jagr..

Eric Staal, great, great, great rising superstar (yes i used that phrase). good and bad to play (soon hopefully) with his brother.

Ovechkin, no words..

Crosby, this kid can play, and will be amazing.. although I would rather watch him on another team.

We will have to wait till his 35th birthday to see that.

Joe Thornton is my pick to sign. The guy is a true franchise center with size and amazing talent and is only what? 26 years old?? Only Boston or the Islanders would be stupid enough to trade him though. Shanny/Joe T/Jags would just dominate.

Ovechkin hands down, a second line, second to none.

Probably Crosby or Ovechkin...

Proven, extremely young and both have 100 point seasons in their first, on bad teams. I think I would probably take Ovechkin over Crosby as i feel he is more physical and a better goal scorer.

Ovechkin
Staal
Nash

Ovechkin is a given.

I like Nash alot, even though he isnt as prolific as the other two i just love his style and id pop him on the second line and he would CERTAINLY boost the scoring there. Hes young... big.. I know he didnt have a huge year but if he had played the whole season he would have had great numbers.

1. Ovechkin. Half man, half amazing.
2. Henrik Zetterberg. Extremely talented. Gonna be top 3 players in the NHL real soon.
3. (tie) Ryan Smith. Awesome gritty player, who just upped his position during the playoffs.
Shane Doan. Gritty, Talented, One of my personal favs.

Honorable mention (in no order): Mike Grier, Joe Corvo, Francois Beauchemin, Brian Gionta, ehhhh Maxim Afinogenov.

Phaneuf or Scott Niedermayer. Ovechkin would be nice, but NYR could really use a solid #1 D man.

Sadly the closest we will get to seeing these guys in ranger uniforms is by playing NHL 07, which looks great by the way.

Ovechkin, Crosby, Nash.

Before last season I thought Nash might be the best player in the league. I still think his future is as limitless as the other two young phenoms.

Now there's a guy I wouldn't mind having on the same team as Brendan Shanahan.

Ovechkin.

It's not even close for me. While I reconize that a guy like Crosby will probably put up a few more points (though not by much, and Ovechkin will score more goals) and that elite defensmen are harder to find than elite fowards (Phaneuf), Ovechkin is the kind of player that is just impossible to find. We all talk ad-naseum about how hard it is to find big nasty first line fowards, and Ovechkin has the ability and the disposition to be the best one to come along in 15 years. We're talking about a guy with unreal scoring ability that is big and extreemly physical. There's no one that I'd rather have right now.

I def. think he's the guy, though when all is said and done I think there will be guys up there in his league. But someone says to me pick one, I'd probably go with Ovechkin first and Crosby a close second. The difference being that Ovechkin can play at the same level but has the added frame.

exactly, I just think that Ovechkin gives you somthing extra that crosby doesn't, even if he doesn't end up tallying as many points (which remains to be seen.) Crosby is fantastic, but Ovechkin is just a dynamic force in a way that few others are.

It has to be Crosby...Ovechkins amazing and if we had Thornton instead of Jagr, I'd pick him but with Jagr, it must be Crosby...

Ovechkin amazes me with just how strong he is and how mature his body is. The kid is a rock.

Can you imagine if Pitts. hadn't lost the lottery that year? Ovechkin AND Crosby?

That makes me ill.

are you saying that crosby, malkin, staal, fleury, ect. doesn't make you ill?

I see alot of parrells between the pens of today and the Nordiques circa 1993. I think we're gonna be looking at the same kind of run, assuming that they don't screw it up.

Oh no that is still a sick lineup, but seems to have one too many centers. Trade one of those centers for Ovechkin and that is just beyond comprehension.

Crosby center Ovechkin with Jordan Staal skating on the second line? Or heck trade staal for a defenseman (think Johnson), so now you have Crosby at center, Ovechkin at RW, Johnson on the blue line and Fleury in goal.

Not really that far fetched if Pitts doesn't slip to number two in that draft. Malkin is going to be a great player, but swap him for Ovechkin and it get becomes EHM-esque.
