Weren't the tickets FREE last time ? until the final game against the Ducks rookies was moved to Staples then they tried to charge but still gave some out for free if you got there early enough, or had tics to the Kings/Ducks pre-season game ? or am I thinking about something way else

You're thinking about something else. There was a free Kings-Ducks rookie game at the pond in 2002 and a free Kings-Ducks rookie game last year at Staples if you had tickets to the Kings-Ducks preseason game after it, but the rookie tournament was never free. Los Angeles and Anaheim both charged $10 per day for the 2003 and 2004 rookie tournaments but I think the Sharks charged $10 per game last year.

Dallman and Buckley in a Rookie tournament?
Isn't Hersley going to be back in Europe?
Baier is probably back in school by then, no?

McGinnis and Ryan maybe???

McGinnis and Ryan, yes. All the others, no. Baier isn't signed, and I don't think Hersley is coming over until next season. Dallman and Buckley are ineligible (too much AHL Experience; one full AHL season is the limit).

I'd guess the Kings team would look something like this, although they might not carry five goaltenders:

Forwards: Patrick O'Sullivan, Anze Kopitar, Lauri Tukonen, Konstantin Puskarev, Trevor Lewis, Gabe Gauthier, Ned Lukacevic, Dany Roussin, Bud Holloway, Shay Stephenson, John Seymour, Ryan Murphy? (signed?), Greg Hogeboom? (has spent two seasons in the AHL but has played less than a season's worth of games)
Defensemen: Richard Petiot, Peter Harrold, Joe Ryan, Ryan McGinnis, Joey Mormina, Eric Werner? (signed?)
Goaltenders: Jonathan Bernier, Barry Brust, Ryan Munce, Daniel Taylor, Yutaka Fukufuji

Werner and Murphy are not signed unless it just hasn't been announced...
Hogeboom is signed and would probably qualify given he lost most of his first season to a wrist injury/surgery...

So does this mean the Ducks team can't have Getzlaf, Perry, Penner, or Kondratiev right ? all have too much AHL Experience also to be in the "rookie" games ?
If so, the Ducks team doesn't scare me that much

There's, supposedly, something about their training facility that isn't up to the task (yet).

Its due to construction around the arena as well as a scheduling conflict.

Last year because of construction. If you've been out to the Glendale (Az.) area, especially around the arena, its a mess.

The Coyotes practice center in Peoria (just 7-10 mins.) up the road is nice, but is not big enough to host the event. I've heard rumors that a bigger practice facility should be going up a lot closer, but I haven't had a chance to confirm that.

Not that my wife & I aren't crazy about hockey, either. But if it's really going to upset you to be on a Carribean Cruise instead, I'll trade you. I'll go on the cruise, you can stay here & watch the rookie tournament. Deal? I'll throw in Cammy & a pick.......
