I'd say best: Flames and Canucks

Worst: Sens and Leafs - just because they actually hate each other, I've seen one too many bar fights between these fans... Some people really get worked up.

I don't think the Preds and the Wings are rivals.

I think Preds-CBJ and the Preds-Flames are bigger rivalries than Preds Wings.

Definetly have to agree there. I think that as soon as the Penguins become contenders again things are really gonna heat up.

Also don't count the Islanders out of stirring the Atlantic Division rivalries up, Nolan usually produces a hard hitting/dirty team.

One of the best are the Pens-Caps rivalry. Even now, when both teams are at the bottom of the league, they're still exciting and rowdy games to go see.

LA-Ana rivalry has been a lot more heated than Flames-Oilers in the last few seasons. In fact, Battle of Alberta has been quite lame recently.

Sens-Leafs got really old after the Leafs kicked them out for the third straight time in the playoffs. How many times can one choke to the same team? It's almost pathetic.

I just do not understand posts like that
You misunderstand me. I wasn't taking a stab at the Leafs. I was taking a stab at the people that hyped up the Battle of Ontario last season and the Senators just ended up killing the Leafs every game. That's all I meant by that.

As a Toronto fan, I consider Ottawa our biggest rival by far.

Also, maybe it's because of the old Campbell Conference days, but a Toronto-Detroit game gets my blood boiling FAR more than a Toronto-Montreal game. Also, Toronto-Philadelphia in recent years is big for me, although that has been pretty one-sided...

Toronto-Montreal does nothing for me.

Except no one cares about LA-Anaheim.

I kid, I love watching those games, although they are hard to get in the eastern part of the country...

Is that even a rivalry beyond the divisonal sense? Atlanta - Washington is the better rivalry in the division, at least in terms of a few caps fan hating on the thrashers. I dont know about the other way. Why would any hatred exist between the Caps and the Panthers?

You're absolutely right.

A consistent lack of playoff success is considerably pathetic.

Makes you wonder how one could be a fan of a team that just can't get it done in the post-season.

Truth. This was awesome in the days before the Crosby versus Ovechkin thing, and now it should explode

Toronto - Ottawa would be one of the better rivalries.
The Battle of Alberta, is always good.

Not only a consistent lack of playoff succes. . . but repeated failures to the same team. Four times.

Hopefully after the Sens rebuild is when we'll see a rejuvenated and equal Battle of Ontario.

Montreal/Boston. The hatred runs deep, very deep.

Just my two cents.

Central- Detroit -St Louis (when St Louis was good)
Pacific- LA - Anaheim

Worst From each division

North - Minnesota - Calgary (this could put an insomiac to sleep)
Central - Nashville - Chicago

Exactly.

I was always confused as to when people get so worked up over Toronto-Montreal. There were so many years when we barely played you guys...I actually like Montreal...

Montreal-Boston is pure hate. Especially on the Boston end.

Seriously, all i ever see you do is put in snide remarks about Teams from the south. Yeah, the fans are casual, but they draw alot better than other teams in the north. The Panthers - Tampa rivalry is pretty heated, from a fan perspective.

Fans perspective the best rivalary is Leafs/Any other team . Canucks - Flames is the best.

I'm gonna go old school on the best -- Boston/Montreal.

Worst rivalry? If the teams don't care about each other, is it by definition even a rivalry. I am gonna guess something like Columbus v. Panthers Have they even ever played?
