Enough Rumors?

IMHO Gainey is done for the off-season. Nothing else will happen until December/January (maybe earlier for Aebi). AND I'M PERFECTLY HAPPY WITH THIS POSSIBILITY.
I am looking forward to seeing this team start the season and I really don't see any other player out there right now that I feel would be a good addition in regards to salary versus performance.
SO. How does everyone feel about the possibility of starting the season with current roster and do you think there may be any moves before the start of the season?

Happy, expect no trade.
But I do think if an opportunity to improve the team shows up Gainey will certainly entertain the possibility.

I'm happy, and I'd be surprised to see more deals/signings before the pre-season. But if it happened, I wouldn't be shocked.

Happy with roster, expects no change... At least not until training camp! Once there, I do think however some question marks remain, Ribeiro, Huet vs Aebischer, will more than one rookie make the big club and, of course, injuries... But until then, I say go to Hawaii Bob, you deserved it!

I think Bob is done. He wants to see how Huet & Ribeiro and the new guys/rookies do before making any changes.

The only move I wouldn't be surprised to see is the habs picking up a depth player somewhere, possibly from waivers. Something like Simpson last year.

Well, I don't see alot happening before training camp, but you can never tell. I'm sure if Gainey is presented with an opportunity to improve the club he will make the move. For example, if Philly and Gange can't come to terms, I would assume Gainey would make inquiries, or something of that nature.

I am happy with the roster. I think the team will do great... I really think it is the year that this team will gel together.

I wont be a happy camper with only making the playoffs this year.

I am happy with the current roster ONLY because we need to find out what the kids can do and how the new players will fit in.

I believe Koivu will be back but I also believe Ribs just cant handle big pressure.

I believe Gainey knows this and will get his top centre, either before the season starts or near trading deadline. Ribs wont make it passed the deadline as second centre.

Gainey will trade to get a top centre only when the deal makes sence for the HABS. Its a top centre he is after and not just any centre, we already have an "any centre" in Ribs.

The Habs have an abundance of wingers and prospect wingers.
I have felt all along that Gainey is willing to part with good assets but not any assets and that this is the reason no deal has been done as of yet.
