sorry but you are wrong.

overall Koivu did more carreer wise but Briere is likely to score more goals than Koivu because he is stronger than KOivu, also Koivu never got his full speed and ''total'' confidence on his knees... even if slowy he seem to have progressed in that aspect.

Koivu is a leader, Briere is one too but a different type.. more like a Begin.. Koivu is a leader on the ice and off the ice, but for the achievements he did in his life. past through cancer and 8 months.... wow.... tremendously respected around hockey and his even a member of the olympic comitee.. it isnt something any other nhl can say. he is simply an idol in finland as he always had incredible performance internationally.

QFT Koivu is a good second line C and about half as dangerous as Briere right now.

Right now Koivu have eyes injury so any NHL player is better then him. Last year yes Briere was more dangerous but he'sd the same old problem then Koivu. Injury prone and he's a king in big part because of that. Oh maybe he would have score 50 goals or maybe 100 points. Koivu could do it olike 5 years in a row if he wasnt injure. Did he is/was a king? No. Except when he came back from in cancer he was a hero for about 1 week until somebody see a bad player.

And Next year who will be the best? No one knows...

Brière is not injury prone get your facts straigth. I dont know how many of us keep saying it. He missed 2 games in the last 3 years (excluding this year). And no...Koivu would never score 50 goals. But like I said earlier Koivu bring alot of other stuff to the table and I wouldnt mind having both of them no matter what rank anyone would give them.

Koivu isnt an injury prone anymore and a lot still think so. I know Koiivu will never score 50 goal but Briere cant make 70 assist. They're not the same kind of center.

With 2 center like that you've a line 1A and 1B. You made them play with the player they've a good chemistery... If Briere want to sign here next year I dont have any problem with that.

Once again , you compare two players in a total different situation . The season Koivu got his best PPG , he was playing for a team that was having a lot of offensive players ;

25 Vincent Damphousse............................ 82 27 54 81
8 Mark Recchi................................... 82 34 46 80
49 Brian Savage.................................. 81 23 37 60
11 Saku Koivu.................................... 50 17 39 56
26 Martin Rucinsky............................... 70 28 27 55
44 Stephane Richer............................... 63 22 24 46
(18 Valeri Bure................................... 64 14 21 35)
38 Vladimir Malakhov............................. 65 10 20 30

just imagine is Saku , Richer and Bure would had been played their 82 games ...

Briere was playing for the Coyotes , was a second liner . After that he played for Buffalo , a team that isn't recognise for his offensive game .
