If it is written up on the NHLPA sight, that is good enough for me.

It is official. Just wait a few days for the "official" press release to come out. But believe me, it's 100% official.

One year deal, two way contract for the league minimum.

See?

Sometimes it takes longer when a deal is done later in the week. Especially if it's a minor signing like Godard. I still wouldn't be surprised if the press release isn't out until next week. But who knows. Either way it's official and done.

This is like a Godard for Simon swap. As an Islanders fan I'd rather have Simon but I'm sad to Godard go. I hope he likes Omaha.

it saves the flames 1.05 million in salary too i believe... i think Simon;s option was 1.55 million this coming season

apperantly he can skate decent according to isles fans... and they say he doesnt take alot of stupid penalties (for a goon)... he has only played 100 NHL games so you never know what will happen... but i also think 40 would be a very very very very very very very optimistic prediction

His skating isn't very good but he's got heart and you can't teach that. But you're right about not taking alot of stupid penalties. He's pretty good about that.

Just dont let him fight Colton Orr. Orr broke Goddard's nose twice in fights already.
