Wiemer may be a Hawk

"Wiemer was actually put on waivers Tuesday by the Islanders, who want to move the 27-year-old veteran's $1.6 million contract. Sutter loves Wiemer from their days together in Calgary, and according to a source, general manager Bob Pulford has talked to Isles GM Mike Milbury in the last few days."

I don't see why the Hawks would really want him. Toughness is not an area where they are lacking.

Take a gander at what's being said about the Blackhawks' "toughness" at this site....www.blackhawkzone.com

I guarantee that you'll change you're mind in thinking that the Hawks don't really need toughness. They need all the available toughness that they can get their hands on.

The thing that I took from the "Weimer thread" was not that the lacked toughness, but toughness with skill, or at least more skill than Vandy and Moen. I also read some complaints about Sutter not using his toughness.
