Okay, then. Never promise someone else's business if you can't deliver it personally.

You should find a place that has both sweet and garlic. Mix them. It's perfect.

Homestyle is greasy nasty crap I find. My stomach always churns and I get explosive diarrhea after I eat one from there.

It's been a while since I ate a Donair so I went out to Zachs Famous Donair at Milbourne and to my surprise the total came out as $5.95! They increased the price. I asked why, but the dude wouldn't tell me. But as I ate my donair I noticed the meat didn't taste the same. I guess they changed it or maybe not, but it was still tasty.

Don't believe they have donairs there - only philly cheese steaks

I awlays mix the sauces as well. Get the best of both worlds. Some places even have three sauces and I'll get a little of each as well.

The best combo is sweet, garlic, and hot sauce.

Hot... hmmm I had never even thought of that. I might try that one day.

I was thinking of sweet, dill and taziki mixed together I think. The dill might actually be garlic, I guess I never ask at the place I go to.

Ya, garlic and dill are usually the same or really close. So get sweet, dill, and hot sauce together.

I used to think so too, until I tried it. It's amazing. You need the right amount of each though. I have that part down pat, if you want.

If you think that's gross, Mowzie put those three PLUS honey garlic.

It's going to be a sad day when half of the members on the Oilers HFBoards die of cardiac arrest.

Wonder if the news will pick up on the story.. "Donairs cause mass exodus from Edmonton"

That would mean we'll have to start burning cribs made of donair meat, though.

Can it really be any worse than burgers or KFC?

So I tried the new Prime Time Donair and Kebab for lunch today and I must say I was pretty impressed. I went with the medium size and it was on the smaller pita, so they can only get so much meat in it. I'll probably get the jumbo with the bigger pita next time for only a dollar more. I like a big donair.

It just opened yesterday, so it was amazing how clean and sparkly everything was. I've never seen a donair place so tidy and clean!

On to the actual donair, I did my trio sauce of sweet, garlic and tzatziki. The guy said that was an "interesting" combo and I told him I do it all the time. I am very impressed, the meat was nice and crispy (they fried it for quite a while) and the sauce tasted super fresh. I think I've found a new favorite place for donairs in Millwoods!

The owners were really friendly. You could tell they were new at it because it was busy and they were running around a bit trying to keep up. No worries though, just like anything it takes time to get better at something. They kept appologizing for the delay so you could tell they knew they had some work to do. I asked one of the guys behind the counter if he was the owner and he said they both were. I mentioned that one of their brothers was advertising for them on the hockey's future website and he said that was cool. I don't think he had any idea what the HF website was though (I could be wrong) so I felt a little dorky mentioning it.

Oh last but not least, they don't have their debit machine up and running yet. I guess UPS lost it or something. So if you are planning on dropping by in the next couple of days (which I recommend you do if you are in the area and craving a donair) bring cash.

Oh yea, I went in yesterday and completley forgot to mention it here. Primetime >>>> Homestyle for sure. Your right they still havent worked out all the kinks (debit, tv, and stuff that I really didnt care about) The guys were really cool though and they said there gonna be open late (awesome) 12 on weekdays and 3 on weekends.

It sounds like I gotta start mixing sauces, I always just get sweet.

Ask if you can get the garlic on the side, that way you can try just like a bite with both. If you like it, spread it on the rest...or dip the rest.

It might sound weird, garlic, sweet, and spicy but yummy.

I just got back from Prime Time. I got a super donair with cheese. They gave me a free kabob while I waited. The kabob was very good but the donair was absolutely fantastic. Best I have had in a long time. Be warned that the debit machine is not working yet so bring cash. I will definately be going back. Alot.
