Some dark hoarses.

Kurtis Foster of the Minnesota Wild has an absolute cannon. He won the hardest shot in the ahl with somewhere in the 100-104 mph range.

Christoph Schubert shot at 102.8 mph at the sens skills competition.

Alot of players sure can humm that puck these days.

Joe Sakic?

Id also like to wrist shots measured at the All Star Games and Skills competitions. They get used way more than slap shots anyways.

Kotalik when he uses his slapshot.

Hardest wristshot I have seen comes off the stick of Jaromir Jagr.

I don't know if it's the hardest, but Kotalik can really rip it.

Another dark horse is Anton Babchuk. Not much accuracy at this point unfortunately.

Hardest Shot goes to: Happy Gilmore...

Seriously though this kid Doug Murray, sharks prospect....oh man talk about a cannon...240 6'4 and an absolute howitser!

Other than him I gotta go with Chara or Pronger....Erhoff gets honorable mention but I think his shot just stays low and its good and hard but I really dont think its the hardest by any stretch

Anton Babchuk is scary from the point. I'm not sure what he's been clocked at lately, but he is the hardest I have seen recently.

True enough...and he'd probably break Iafrates record- if he could hit the net. Simple physics.

That's kind of weak no? I'm 5"7 150 pounds and I can bench press over 200 pounds...a guy massive like chara should bench press more...even though I suppose it's harder for tall lanky people to bend their arms and press a lot.

Actually it's much harder! It's easier for someone with short arms to bench as they have a lot less distance to travel. That being said, 300lbs is pretty average for a professional athlete. I remember reading about Jagr close grip benching 225lbs 25 times. That is much more impressive IMHO!
