This was probably the best, most exciting game I have ever seen. I remember that game, it was when everyone saw a flash of stardom for the first time from Stajan, when Buffalo was eliminated in the second intermission and Kaberle and Mogilny had one of the best tips I've ever seen for an amazing comeback to overtime win.
I really really wish you kept this on the Leafs board. There's no reason to post it here.
This makes me laugh. You know it is sad when you kiss the *** of an internet discussion forum monitor. Why do you care if there is a topic like this that you think was placed in the wrong forum? Don't read it if you are not interested.

Because sitting an watching Leafs fans revel in “past glory” at the expense of another team and it's fans on the GENERAL boards, if Leafs fans want to do things like this, they have their own board for it where it doesn't matter to anyone else.
Right, because the amazing history of the Buffalo Sabres is evident, and their last Stanley cup win was oh so recent.
It's annoying enough to hear people from teams who've actually done something, but honestly.. the Sabres? Care to refresh my memory as to what year you guys entered the league/last time you won the cup? I mean, judging from your comments it would appear that there's a wide discrepancy.

The Sabres and Leafs have the exact same number of Cup victories post-expansion.
Of course, the Sabres have actually been to the Cup Finals twice while the Leafs have never tasted it outside of when they only had to beat 4 other teams to do so.
My memory seems to be failing me a bit... who did the Sabres beat in the Eastern Conference Finals in 1999 to make it to the Cup Finals

Right, and the years that seperate the last Leafs win and Buffalo's entry? 3-4? So 1967 is somehow significantly worse than 1970? I suppose it's easy to point at the Leafs and say 1967, but 1970/71 is a pretty long time and you've not yet won a cup. In essence, had the Sabres existed 3-4 more years than they currently have, judging by past success you'd have been in the same spot as the Leafs.
Your team has done jack all-- so perhaps tossing stones is a bit inappropriate regardless of the Leafs lack of success as well. Heck, I'd argue it's immature and inappropriate even if you had done something.

And we wonder why this thread is better served on another board....

I knew this thread would cause trouble sooner or later. I remember that game, really good game
I'm sure if it were say Nashville vs Washington and Nashville lead 5-2 going into the 3rd and Ovechkin scored the next 4 goals, nobody would have a problem with video highlights eh?

I am not a Leaf fan. Far from it. But I still enjoy ALL hockey videos.
