Somewhat unbelievable statistics

Post some unbelievable or interesting stats from last season.

Mine would be that Tomas Kaberle and Bryan McCabe totaled for 135 points in 155 games last season. Which is more than these tandems, all of whom were the top 2 scorers on their respective teams:

Yashin & Satan: 132 points, 164 games
Calder & Bell: 107 points, 161 games
Kovalev & Koivu: 127 points, 141 games
Iginla & Langkow: 126 points, 164 games
Doan & Comrie: 126 points, 162 games

Kovalev + Koivu were not really a tandem, they only really played together on the PP for most of the season.

1) take the top 8 goalies last year for wins and half of them dont play on the same team anymore:

brodeur, kiprusoff, gerber, turco, legace, vokoun, luongo, auld.

2) in 2010 patrice bergeron will only be 25 years old.

anyone find it funny how the guy on the juice has the worst +/- in the league? Or did recchi get that?

okay, the thread is about amazing stats. Everyone is just posting the same stats for different teams. I think that unbelievable stats woudl be like how AO was in on 57% of his teams points.

Bryan Marchment in 1997-1998 (including post-season) took out three members of the Stars with knee injuries (Modono, Newie, forget the other) and was playing with a different team each time he injured one of the stars (Oilers, TB, SJ).

He was in on about 44% I think. Or maybe I just misread your statement and you didn't mean he actually was.

Naslund and Bertuzzi combined for 150 points last year, dispite both having terrible years.

Yashin's 10 year contract is pretty unbelievable....

Actually found a pretty funny quote about it:

Said Gandler: "Sure, Alexei is the highest paid player in the league right now, but who knows for how long? With the exponential and out of control growth of salaries in today's N.H.L, by 2003 or 2004, there are several players who could pass us, I mean, him, like (Washington's Jaromir) Jagr (Colorado's Peter) Forsberg, or (St. Louis's Chris) Pronger."

http://www.thehammer.ca/content/view...ashin-contract

obviously a joke, but still humorous.

This is more of a historical statistic, but even though Mario Lemieux was in the NHL on and off for over 20 years, and was active for 17 years in the league as a player, he didn't manage to play in 1000 games, but finished with only 915.

Chris Gratton has played in more NHL regular season games than Lemieux.

This is asking for:

Thornton and Cheechoo: 170 Pts in 116 games with San Jose
