Mirror visor banned in sweden

A guy in the swedish elitleague wore a " mirror visor" last night. Tonight it was ruled that he cant wear it anymore. Have you heard of any players in NHL who wear this kind of visors?
I dont know the reason behind the ban is - maybe the goalies will be confused to see themselves in it.

I'm pretty sure no one in the NHL wears one. Reason for the ban could be light reflection but that's still a pretty weak excuse to ban them.

Hmm... interesting idea. It kind of reminds me of ski goggles.

But I guess the reflection would be kind of annoying? I don't think anyone in the NHL wears mirror-visors. (A few wear the dark sunglasses-like visors... i.e. T. Fleury, Hossa)

It may be a bit passe, but those visors do look pretty cool.

I think it's pretty lame. Leave the "bad ass" mirrored visors to football players who like to draw attention to themselves. Hockey has no room for that kind of crap. If anything you can wear a tinted visor like some NHL players do to cut down on the ice glare, etc but otherwise no. It shouldn't be allowed.

Errr. I think if the trainer or coach suspected you had sustained a concussion, they'd get you on the bench and take your friggin helmet off all together and have a look at you... mirrored visor or no.

Looks funky and kind of cool, I don't see why they don't allow them. They have dark tinted visors in the NFL, although have never seen any visors quite like that in any sport.

If it's THAT bad (you laying on the ice, motionless), no, they probably won't move your head at first. But in that case, your reactions to their questions would tell them the same thing your eyes would in most cases (that you're "out of it").

But I've seen medical staff remove players' helmets after big hits. Morever, a lot of times players receive concussions on harmless looking hits / plays, and they just get up and go right to the bench. That's more what I was talking about...

... the point is, that's not the reason they should be banned / disallowed.

It doesn't say anywhere that he's banned from wearing that visor. False information.
