Curse you Aki Berg!!!!!

Why is this guy mentioned on these forums often? I remember he scored a goal against Florida a while ago and I vowed to fear and loathe Aki Berg from that day on.

I am a Leaf fan and I could honestly say that I couldn't be happier to know that he is gone. He was just BRUTAL.

i feel bad for finland, politically. the guy plans to run for office there. if he's anything like he is on the ice, they'll be in trouble really quick.

I remember when the Kings took him the 1st round, I thought we hit the jackpot. The scouting reports claimed he was a mix of Brian Leetch and Scott Stevens. I guess they meant a mix of Stephen Leach and Kevin Stevens (when he was on crack).

That goal likely came in the playoffs. As some have previously noted, Aki Berg raised his game for the Stanley Cup Playoffs and the Olympic Games.

Aki always raises Aki's game when the stakes are high, especially in the playoffs:

Career Regular Season: 0.14 ppg
Career Playoffs: 0.15 ppg

2006 Olympics: +4, Silver Medal, outplayed every Canadian defenseman.
