Iginla threw the first punches? Seems to me he wrapped his arm around Vokoun's head, but I don't think he was punching a guy with a goalie mask on.

He sure did try. Its not dirty for a guy to retaliate. Vokoun's play was uncalled for, I know, but to say he is dirty for throwing a punch after being hauled down seems off the mark to me.

not for nothing, but my friend just called me fromt he bar that all the players usually go to after the games(she's a puckbunny, and ventures in with her low shirts hoping to...whatever) and she said that jack diller came in...with vokoun, orszagh, erat and kloucek in tow...and iginla looked up from his table and kind of smiled and nodded at vokoun...who winked back.

wish i could have seen that

good to know that these guys are professional enough to keep that stuff on the ice.

It sure is. I'd hate to see Iginla, just straight out come after Vokoun. We have some tough guys, but if the situation was unfavorable....Its good to have healthy rivalries, though, and it seems like the Predators are devoloping quite a few enemies this year with their tougher play.

The REAL bad thing is that with ALL of that going on there were only two minor penalties called even though gloves were off and punches thrown (Allison/Ference)

if you find one, let us know. NHL.com's anti-fighting policy came through, and the footage was left out. hamhuis's hipcheck on yelle was in there, though...which surprised me.

Lowry? Clark?

Calgary isn't going to be intimidating Nashville any time soon...hell, I doubt any team in the league intimidates them...

I agree he doesn't hit much, but I wouldn't say he's far from a PF. He fights (alot this year) and he plays in traffic and takes hits well, he just doesn't dish out the bone-crunchers like Bert or Tkachuk.

HAHAHAHAHA .. lowry ??? HAHAHAHA

what's done is done and the payback has been settled. anything that happens in the next game is NEW stuff, and if some loser like oliwa runs him, he's starting it all over again.. theologically it's done, vokoun got him back.. if oliwa runs him, i hope our plethora of hacks can take out the knees of iginla, lydman, regehr, and reinprecht.. oh and leopold and kobasew just for the hell of it..

:p

There is something you don't hear much. A goalie running a player. What, did Ron Hextall come back?

I don't think Oliwa would be too scared of Tootoo personally. Oliwa has a good 8 inches and 52 pounds on him. His reach alone would wreck Tootoo. Even Walker too... Sure, they can be pests but against Oliwa?

Great story if it's true. We should send this story to Erica Lindros, who was trying to jump Nazarov in the parking lot a few years back.
