What is fair value for Chuck Kobasew

Howdy Doo Flamey Poo's..

Question for you. If Boston wanted to aquire Chuck Kobasew from you, what would you want in return..

I am asking this as purely "fantasy" question - your fair return value.

I know Kobasew was held in high regard in the boston area, and the bruins "used" to have a tendancy to bring in "local boys".

The bruins really dont have a need for Kobasew as much because of a glut of young up and comers - but I have always thought he was displaced in calgary.

So fire it up, what would you want for Chuck Kobasew

Strum. Give us Strum and we'll think about it.

Kessel? maybe Chara?

i don't know what would be fair value:

Chuck is 24, has a deal that pays 1.2 million per, and is a 20 goal scorer with a lot of potential.

boston probably wouldn't be a good trading partner because they really don't have any player that compares to chuck. all your players are either worth a lot more or not enough.

Chuck is the kind of guy, because of his numbers, that wouldn't bring us back enough to warrant a trade. the only guy in the same price and age range calgary would want would be boyes and i seriously doubt that boyes and his sweet contract are touchable.

maybe chuck for some draft picks or prospects but i don't think we would have a trade here....

The problem is I can`t see Boston having anything available that we`d want right now.

Sturm is a good option, however, he`s one year removed form being an RFA and is more expensive then chuck. That`s about the closest thing I could find on your current roster. In terms of picks prospects, I doubt that Mark Stuart would be available. Lashoff and a first might get the job done, but Calgary`s not rebuilding.

Summary: Kobasew for Sturm is about the closest deal likely to happen, and even that`s stretching the imagination.

Ya Kobasew will be a 30 goal scorer in this leauge.
Flames will probably hold on to him aslong as possible.
