Samsonov - Malkin - Kovalev
Higgins - Koivu - Latendresse/Kostitsyn
Perezhogin - Plekanec - Johnson
Murray - Bonk - Begin

Markov - Komisarek
Dandenault - Rivet
Streit - Bouillon

Huet
Danis

Ok we might need some help on D lol.
JP Côté can be our helper there. He impressed me

I think if we add in Perezhogin and another 1st round pick it could work. How good is it for the Habs? We dump 8 million in salary most already had traded one prospect and get back a Superstar Center, and open up a roster spot for our top young players like Kostytsin.

Higgins Koivu Dumont
Samsonov Malkin Kovalev
Kostytsin Plekanek Johnson
Begin Bonk Murray

WOW WOW WOW

HAHAHA this is dreadfully entertaining if Bob can pull this off I will do whatever he wants.

Ryder is gone (if the Crazy...never happening trade happens) so we need another 20-30 goal scorer.

CKAC would not have put out that rumour because it invovles sending players including a Quebecer in return for a russian player. The only rumours they talk about is sending euro's out and quebecer in.

<needscoffedelusion>Can't beleive I'm doing this but What are the legal ramifications of Malkin being trade to a Canadian team...

Maybe the cost is estimated already (mucho $$$) and that's why a trade was considered...</needscoffedelusion>

If that rumour were true we'd free up 8.28$ million in cap space which would bring us down to about 33$ million from the $41,371,900 hockeyanalysis.com puts us at now. Add a JP Dumont signing just for fun at roughly 2.5$ a year and we're at $35.5. Then add Malkin's entry level contract of $850,000 (its what Crosby's making) and we're at $36,350,000. That's a LOT of wiggle room to start the season with, and would be beneficial for when we have to resign Markov next season. Anyways, just a few numbers for you all... Keep in mind I was never a math whiz

Crosby's cap hit actually ended up being quite a bit more than $850,000. To get a top prospect like him or Malkin under contract, you would need to lace the deal with incentives, which enable the player to earn a lot more.

I believe Sidney ended up earning a few million last year.

Malkin will end up signing the same deal AO and Sid got, so his cap hit will be like 3.7 or 3.8 M due to all the bonuses.

I don't blame Stock. Who wouldn't love to have that job. It'd be next-best to being god, practically. "<Watch this... I'm going to make half of Quebec go nuts>: Malkin..."

The understatement of the century. It would crash the board and make moderators cry.

Well , it's only normal that such a "big" rumor will make the fans speculate (and even i am guilty of it) so technically i agree with you.

It still wouldn't have happened if he didn't report it though

Does PJ Stock is a good source ? If yes , it will be AWSOME to see him here . Malkin is a team player , leader , two-way player , work hard , very skilled . If a trade happen , I see Komisarek + Perezhogin + Ryder + 1rst round for Malkin .
