So Benny is going to be playing in the heritage game in Edmonton outdoors on the 22nd... and I'm wondering, since I don't get much television, how much he is overweight now. I have heard that he's really ballooned up, but i haven't seen him. So does anybody have an estimate? I'm looking forward to seeing him play again.
I was going to turn this into a poll question, but I wasnt sure how to do it.
I have never seen a player gain so much weight in such a little time. It seems as soon as he was done with the NHL, or I should say when the NHL was done with Brunet, the next time we all saw him, he looked like a POTATO
Never liked Brunet...did nothing for me. Once in a blue moon would have a burst of speed, & score a nice goal, but...
Remember '93, Benny scored the tie goal in 3rd period 3rd game when Habs were losing to the Nordiques who were 2-0 in the series. Then in overtime Vinny made that pass to Muller and the rest is history. We all forgot Benny except me, he saved our life with his tie goal.
Now for his diet, it's true he always had that fat face when he played HNL hockey but I beleive it was just his face. Today he must have eaten to much frozen mini-pizzas, Mea West Vachon cakes and drink Pepsi. His new nick name will soon be Benny Homer Brunet. Dooohhh !!! lol
Brunet is from Baie d'Urfée, near Pierre Lalonde's home. Shagadaa !!! Chips !!
he was always injured, so i didn't get to see him "play" much
But I remember that when he played, he did little things that helped the team.
A good plumber who worked hard, a pretty good acceleration, you can see him accelerate if you put the video game EA NHL 98 on PSOne, he's the first player showned in the opening video-montage.
I remember that when he came back to play (after so many injuries), the team started to win. Maybe he was for something, maybe it's pure coincidence...
