Who thinks Brophy picking the Ducks to win it all is the kiss of death for Anaheim. Let's see, last season he picked Philly and in prior years before the lock-out he went with the Sens twice. Can't remember past that. He also has the Rangers going to the finals this year.

Brophy did pick the Rangers to win the Cup in the 1993-94 THN Yearbook when the Rangers missed the playoffs the previous season. It was one of the few times Mike has correctly picked anything

Might want to say the finalist from the east will be out of the SE division.

I know I'm late, but I just picked up mine. Had no choice, the king was on the cover.

Enjoyed seeing the predictions....

NYR 3rd in the East first in the Division
NJD 4th in the East
NYI 14th in the East

Let's see if it holds true.

Pretty good assement of the team. One thing that confused me was the last paragraph. Market Watch. "Even the club's unexpected success could not prevent a sustantial loss in coverage" The heck does that mean? Every game was televised. Some went to NBC and OLN, but they were still shown locally.

What issue do they post a fantasy preview, or something along those lines? Some sort of ranking system...

I think he might be talking about the media coverage compared to the rest of the New York teams and the lack of back page coverage we all complained about last season, but what NHL team actually gained coverage after a lockout year?? - except for maybe Carolina...

Doesn't THN also have an issue dedicated to prospects? I'm not sure if it was THN or not, but the magazine ranked the NYR prospects in the low 20's overall last year.

I saw the yearbook and milled through it but for $10 its not worth it. I bought last years one and it wasnt that useful. Yea youll read the team previews for everyone in the Atlantic division but besides that its kinda pointless. And after the first week of the season the thing is useless. The predictions are always off by a mile.

I did buy the Fantasy Guide for $8 US and I would say its a good deal. Alot of interesting stat columns and player profiles. They also did predictions as well in the Fantasy Guide, picking Calgary over Ottawa for the Cup Final. This is so wrong though, because both of these teams always suck in the playoffs, minus 1 cup run year for Calgary in 04.

The only reason why I dont subscribe to THN is because of the content. There are about 12 pages of week old stats in each issue, and not enough articles.
