Im a new LEAFS fan - EX HABS FAN

Hey guys

Just moved from mtl to pickering toronto. Love the place. I like toronto.....very multicultural.... man POPEYES IS way better than KFC. im studying in med school. anyways, the habs have disappointed me alot for not signing a big name. Yea we got samsonov, but i mean hes ok. the truth is no one wants to come to MTL and play for us. High taxes etc. the habs are scared to spend alot of money on players. We have signed no good UFA in the past decade except randy mckay, dandenault, dagenais, and other average players. I realized that Im gonna go for the leafs and i just bought my tucker jersey! GO LEAFS GO AND cant wait to beat the sens!

That's just not right. You can't just switch loyalties, just like that, unless you aren't THAT into it.

I was originally a Quebec fan, than a San Jose until the spring of 1993. However, I was a casual fan, and had no fierce loyalties whatsoever. It made the transition to a Leaf fan easier.

But going from Habs to Leafs...that's a brutal switch. That's the two biggest and most passionate fanbases in the world, and more often than not the fans HATE each other with a virulent passion (especially from the Montreal end.)

If true, welcome to the dark side, my friend...

I've always been a Leaf fan. Even if I moved to another city, there'd be no way I'd switch allegances to another team. I just hope you don't decide to jump off the wagon if things go bad.

And things will go bad.

It's not easy being a fan of the Leafs. Come playoff time, sometimes it's like having a herpes outbreak combined with hemorhhoid flare-up.

By the looks of his few posts on the Montreal board, you'll be glad to see this guy jump off your wagon.

Ya, in fact I love being a Leafs fan in Ottawa (other than the fact I can't watch Leafs games). I wear my jersey proud down the street after a loss any day.

Meh.

Welcome aboard, I guess. If you were frustrated being a Habs fan, this was one of the last teams to become a fan of.

Nevertheless... It will be a huge party when it finally happens...

Im a Leafs fan, growing up in toronto and always following the Leafs, in gr. 6 and 7 I moved to San Jose, and became a Sharks fan and still loved the Leafs, but down there I followed both teams, when they played against one another I cheered for the Leafs.

Wow, there is no way...your just....words fail me somewhat. Stay a Leafs fan, just don't switch back when the Leafs are losing. You must be a casual fan....that's all I can think of.
Was the KFC/Popeyes thing an analogy?

BTW Trolls love chicken.

Personally, I think its disgusting to think you can actually "switch" alliances with your team.

At least you stepped up the food chain, no matter how slight.
