Big shock there.

Not really any surprises as far as the cuts either. Thanks for the heads up GM!

Dude, you're a moderator... this was posted TWICE yesterday afternoon and evening in the "any cuts yet" thread...

(See you tonight, where you can tell me that you have the right to not pay attention and repost stuff we knew 15 hours ago.)

I would expect the following names to be cut soon...

Korchinski
McLaren
Murphy
Schmidt
Zeiler
Nolan
Stephenson
Munce
Taylor

Lewis and Bernier should be returning to juniors, eventually. They may stick around to get a couple more pre-season games in.

Fiscal responsibility will dictate that a few less bodies may travel to Vegas.

I don't know why you'd be even remotely surprised. Avery hasn't melted down yet and there is really no reason to have both of them around. I'm VERY surprised that Giuliano isn't on the list...

I'm not. But he'll be back before long.

Was there anything as sure as the four goalies being sent out very quickly?

Nolan is old-reliable. This will be his FIFTH season with Manchester.

Zeiler was feisty enough. He'll probably do the Reading-Manchester shuffle.

I could see Nolan with the C this year. Unless Gulianno is sent back.

He really is a trooper. The guy's typically held together with Duct Tape by mid-February but he's there...

One of my favorite quotes from Doug was when he was out with a concussion...

KB: Hey, how's it going Doug?

DN: "My heads all effed up"

Brutal honesty! (I believe he was listed as day-to-day with a lower body injury at that point... )

Me, too.

On an unrelated note, I recall how Munce and Jimmy Howard were rated pretty close to each other prior to their draft year even though I believe they were drafted rather far apart...damn how I wish we had taken Howard instead that year.

The players that have to pass through waivers can be placed on waivers no earlier than this Friday (12-days prior to the start of the season) from what I can gather from the CBA...
