Now Peckham drops the gloves! What a nice tilt. Theo gets Bobby Davey's helmet off first, getting the first shots. Now they're exchanging rights. Up against the bench... they're letting them go. Good fight, pretty even.

That's the Gordie Howe hat trick too, isn't it?

Gordie Howe wishes he had a game like Peckham just had.

This will be known as the Theo Peckham hat trick from this point forth.

Yeah, who are these "Bobby Ryan", "Trevor Lewis", and "Bob Sanguinetti" guys?

Good to see, anyway.

It looks like Pitton is going to pick up his third win of the year as Brampton is currently beating Toronto 7-1. This kid is on a serious winning streak of late, didn't he go undefeated down the stretch last season as well?

I wasn't excited about the Pitton pick but he sure is picking up the wins early on

He was absolutely unbeatable down the stretch last season as well. His stats aren't "wow he looks amazing" good but he's done nothing but win in the OHL so far. Likewise, this is his first season as a starter and he's still really young. I have high hopes for this kid...

Another assist for Dragan in a 3-2 loss.

Hes currently in the scoring lead in the swedish elite league.

The Pitton one I liked when I heard more about him, but man Peckham I didn't care for at all. He sure seems like a different player now. Wow. No way he can keep this up. We just aren't that lucky.

Scoring lead is good. If he can finish anywhere in the top 10 this year, he's got a great chance of the Oilers of the Oilers bring him over next summer

If he wants to step into our top 6, he'll likely have to lead the entire SEL, which is not too likely.

Brampton plays against Barry tonight in the OHL and I'm curious to see Pitton will get the back-to-back start. Brampton only has one loss so far this year and that was when the backup was in goal.

Excellent, this team will have quite a few scorers in the future (like we don't already ) I remembere a time where we'd always have to score from gritty plays, we'll be one of the most talented teams in the league for yars to come!!!

Pavel Brendl seems to have regained his scoring touch. He has 6g in 5 games with Mora of the SEL.

They're probably letting him sit at the redline out there.

Brampton is losing 3-1 to Barrie so this is Pitton's first bad game of the year.

Pitton ended up stopping 31 of 35 shots on the night but Brampton lost in a shootout. His stats still look pretty good on the year though, I'm curious to see if he can keep it up.

Trukhno chipped in with a goal and an assist for Gatineau. Peckham put up another 2 assists for Owen Sound, this early season offensive outburst is very strange to say the least as he's closing in on his career high in points already.

Peckham reminds me of Sean Brown, tough as nails not the swiftest of foot but was willing to get better. I was always disappointed that Brown never was a steady contributor in the Oilers lineup, had an outstanding career with the Stings, played well for Cape Breton, but struggled at the NHL level. Really good person in the public though. Hopefully Peckham doesn't see the same fate Brown saw as an Oil.

I'll always remember the game where Brown scored two goals and got in a fight. I always liked him even though he was a bit awkward at times.

We'll have to wait and see with Peckham, I still question if he has the mobility to play in the NHL but I also didn't think he had any offensive talent to speak of.

Peckham is surprising early. He did look a lot better in camp then he did in that pre draft vid that was floating around here a few months back. Maybe we got lucky on this one? We know Lowe traded up to grab this kid before Lou, and both have good eye's for d-men. Do they know something we don't know? If he hits 67 gamaes like last season, he's on pace for 117 points this year so far, including 50 goals

And good on Truk. This camp proved he is still a few years away from NHL ready, but if he can pot 100+ in the Q this year, I'll take that as a good step.

Well depending on injuries I would agree. So in general, a 100+ season would get him an AHL job next year and less the that would likely be ECHL, imho.

Secretly, I am hoping he can put up Pouliot numbers. 110+

Trukhno has a goal so far through the first period as Gatineau is winning 4-2. Trukhno's goal was assisted by Brett Morrison (recognize the name? He was invited to Edmonton's camp), does anyone know if he's playing on a line with Giroux or not?
