The Habs scored 243 goals during the 2005-2006 regular season. About how many will we score this year?
Some things to think about:
1) Higgins may or may not repeat last season's feat (although I think he is the kind of player who can).
2) Perezhogin, Plekanec and Bonk will probably be more productive this year.
3) Kovalev may or may not miss 6 weeks due to injury.
4) Samsonov may or may not be a 25-30 goal scorer if healthy.
The Habs have the potential to be a very good offensive team. Nevertheless my personal estimate will remain modest because I still think we are lacking grit and enough good forcheckers up front. I'll guess around 255-260. Thoughts, estimates, arguments?
