Since we are "rebuilding" and the fact that washington is filled with some decent rookies and lots of draft picks, I could see this becoming a good thing. After all it doesn't appear that Lombardi is going to make a trade for a huge 1st liner for us so we might as well look to the future. We have Blake and Armstrong and Norstrom and stuff like that to show the young guys the ropes so I think we should go for it if the price is right.

Alexander Semin maybe...

Would you rather stay in your home country or come back over to that mess that the Capitals were?

The Ottowa Sun column makes no mention of Conroy. The Conroy "rumor" is ALL eklund....

I don't understand why we would trade Conroy, but perhaps the idea is to get a #1 pick from them? I certainly would not take a #2.

What did DL say after trading Demitra, there are areas of our reserve list that need to be refilled? Washington has a ton of prospects......

If its a chance to play against the best competition in the world and help to rebuild a team Id go to the mess that is the capitals. Staying over there for more money is his perogative. Just not a player Id want on the Kings.

I seriously think you'd be in the minority.

It says in the article there have been "rumors" circling....Where have these rumors been, this is the first time I heard about it.....EKLUND *sigh*
Although, this is very possible, it's not out of the realm of impossible...I can see DL doing this if it means a 1st pick and/or prospects.

I can't wait to see the Kings #1 center if Conroy gets traded. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you Derek Armstrong!

About wanting to play against the best or not wanting him on the team? Hes had an OK half season in the NHL. Hes got potential and thats it. Hes has alot of hype for being a first round pick and thats it.

If I were Lombardi I would ask for Eric Fehr or one of their young Dmen in return.

Conroy for Semin would be a HUGE steal for the Kings.

yes it would, maybe he's thinking that kopitar REALLY IS READY for the NHL?could be, and Crawford can possibly shift Cammi to a center spot, but then one of ebel or army have to be the reserve for center which i doubt after how they were saying "we need more production from guys like army........."

Conroy is on the last year of his contract as far as I know. Getting a 1st round might be hard to come by.A 2nd is more realistic.

About wanting to play against the top players on a mess of a team, as opposed to staying in his home country playing for a team with more stability.

Conroy is starting the 3rd year of a 4-year contract. I don't get how so many people think that it's his last year.

Money and/or space isn't the issue with Dumont. It seems to be that Dumont just isn't keen on moving to L.A..

That would be 2 more years. He'll turn 35 in a week.
