I doubt that Conroy fetches Semin.

I think the real debate is this:

How much does LA like Semin? Do they like Semin enough to give up what it takes to get Semin on the team?

Probably not. Lombardi likes North American kids.

for what it's worth, yesterday on calgary sports radio, Eklund said that conroy was very close to going to nashville, acording to his nashville sources.

Apparently conroy isn't being 'shopped', but they are listening to inquirires.

for what it's worth.

What would the Kings do with Pothier when they already have Blake, Visnovsky, Norstrom, Gleason, Miller, Sopel?

And what does Washington have to offer for Conroy? The Kings need a center to replace him and the only suitable option would be Zubrus and I doubt they'd move him.

I consider this rumor to be bunk (just like most rumors reported on that site).

Sounds about right. Same thing happened with the Demitra deal. Minnesota came asking about Demitra, and L.A. balked at the initial offer but when they threw in the pick, it was on. I'm sure the same thing could happen with Conroy if a team comes with the right offer.

Conroy for Semin isn't gonna happen.
Conroy for Fehr?
More likely but probably not.
Maybe if LA throws in a pick or something else.

Conroy for Semin straight up? The Kings will have to add more than that.

Conroy is a really good, smart player but he's not only getting a bit old (34) but Semin is potentially much more productive than him and is 12 yrs younger.

Perhaps if the Kings added a good dman to the deal as both would help in areas the Caps do need addressing.

trim the fat, and get younger.

Dean Lombardi opting for a European center over a North American center with Conroy's character? doubtful.

me too!

Fehr? Semin? Doubt it.

Maybe Chris Clark and a 2nd.

Conroy would be a good addition for Washington. I get the impression LA would be happy just to have his contract off the books.

He makes 2.3 million. Why would they want that off the books? Chris Clark and a 2nd is a joke.

Because he'll be making $2.3 million when he's 37. That's going to garner a former first round pick?

Any center would be a good addition for the Caps right now. ****ing Mike Ridley would be a good addition for the Caps right now.

Clark's a tough one, because he was the other winger on Ovechkin's line last year and the team's been steadfast in saying that the AO/Zubi/Clark line should be static come camp time.
