C'mon Streetsboro, can't wait picking up my next player.

Btw @Joe Solak:
Have you got my mail including my potential trade-offer for the post-draft era?

Furthermore GPF and I still don't understand the waiver function/rule.

Spartans I think will be picking soon. And then off to Daniel, who is more likely than not snoozing and if he is not I have no idea why he would still be up Wow we waited 24 hours for a pick. Good thing we started early Let's hope we get through a little faster tomorrow.

I'm going to decline the trade offer for now. It's good to see an offer so early though. What part do you not understand about the waiver rules? Once the draft is over, any other players are free agents and can be picked up for your yahoo roster or your minor league team. The only thing is you must maintain your roster size. We expect that people will only be sent down to the minors if a) they are injured, or b) they are in a slump. The minors aren't meant to keep adding players to the yahoo roster to get extra players in for the week. We may make a rule of how many times someone can be called up and/or sent down. If you have more questions let me know!

Example:

Maybe Paul Martin is on my minor league team. He'll play more games the upcoming week than any of my bench defensmen. Is it part of the strategy to send a player down and call Martin up out of that reason ?!? It would make sense to me actually

That is what we are trying to avoid. The question I always ask myself is would that player realistically be sent down? We had one guy who would do that multiple times in a year, he'd send down players that are Markus Naslund or Jarome Iginla caliber to bring up players like Rod Brind'Amour or Chris Conroy.

Ummm from a realistic point of view - you are right!

But where does slump start or end ?!? Or is it just enough of a reason that a player in the Minors is on fire to call him up - the answer would be yes; from a realistic standpoint. And also to send him down again when his streak seems to come to an end .. right ?!?

Guess we need a rule for that.

Sending Iginla up and down - I agree thats imbecility

I think the answer is somewhere in the middle of what you and I are saying. If you have a guy tearing it up and he's in your minors I don't see a reason why you wouldn't want to call him up. Playing the streaks and slumps is one thing, calling people up and down repeatedly to get more starts per week is the main issue we try to avoid. We may do something where you can send players down a certain number of times but if you go over they must clear waivers. The guys in our league are pretty good and I don't foresee an issue with it so we may not need to address it until it happens. Any other ideas??

And that's the point, I intended to clear with my question about the waiver's rule. When does player have to clear waivers? Every time, I demote a player to the minors? Every time I drop a player out of my organisation and pick up another?
And just one more question in this connection:
Is there a limitation of dropping and picking up players from the free agent pool?

Oh! Sorry, I wasn't sure what your question was before. As of now, you can send a player to the minors with no worry about anyone else picking them up, they are still your property. We may make a rule so that after say the 4th time you send someone down they would be available for anyone to pick up. It is NOT a rule now and may never be, it's just an idea. As for your second question we do not have a limit of picking up or dropping players from the waiver pool, however, it should not get to excessive and if it appears to be a problem there will be a limit of how many moves teams can make throughout the year. Does that answer your questions?

As I've said before, with the group of guys we have and adding you and Dan, I don't foresee any problems with fairness in our league!

It seems, you don't know my way of playing games.
All jokes aside, that's the reason, why I am asking that often, cause I want to know exactly about the rules in this league, that we don't get any conflicts about the interpretation of rules.
