I am curious to see who makes up the Wild's powerplay this season.

1. Gaborik Demitra Parrish
Rolston Johnsson

2. White Koivu Volo/Pouliot
Bouchard Nummelin

The First line looks as good as it gets, the second looks ok.

Spellcheck often?

First Team PP:
Parrish will stand in front of the net, screen the goalie and score from 6" - 3'.
Demitra and Gaborik will float around searching for open shooting lanes.
Rolston will look to shoot from the point.
Johnsson will look to quarterback it all.

Second Team PP:
I think Bouchard will play forward. He'll play the half-boards and down low looking to set up scoring chances.
Foster may get his scoring chances here as the point cannon. I think he'll compete with Nummelin for time.
I'm betting Skoula will get time as the PP QB although Johnsson may double shift on occasion. Nummelin may figure into the mix as the PP QB depending upon how well he plays.
I'm a little more unsure of who will make up the other two forwards. We need someone who can forecheck and take up space in front of the net. There are several candidates: Branko Radivojevic, Matt Foy and Roman Voloshenko come to mind. I think this role on the second string PP is up for grabs and that early in the season, we'll see alot of people out there in this role. As for the other forward, if Voloshenko's shot is as good as expected, he may get the sniper role. Todd White certainly has a shot and so does Mattias Weinhandl and Mikko Koivu. For the aforementioned trio, it all depends on how well they're playing. Its also possible that Gaborik, Rolston or Demitra may double shift and I'd expect Rolston to do this because of his chemistry with Bouchard.

Overall, I think our powerplay won't be as pathetic as it's been over the years (the 03/04 season excepted). To sum up, I think our first team is set and Lemaire will try alot of combinations on the second team to determine the best fit.
