OT: OLN on Cablevision

Okay. I know OLN is on Cablevison if you have a digital cable box. My question is, what package do I have to have to get OLN? Family Cable + iO Box? ($9.95 more per month) or do I have pay more and get the Silver Package?

The website says you need to order the sports pack for it, but I know thats old and not updated because they added OLN to a package during hockey season.

If I call they won't know what they're talking about so I figure its just better to ask here.

Basically, if you have Cablevision, just tell me what package you have and if you have OLN.

Thank you.

The irony of this situation is something I wish I could get further into. Hopefully you can just figure it out. In answer to your query, you need to add on the $4.95 io sports pack to any package, as long as you have a digital box.

OLN is apart of the iO Package.

There's Basic, Family Cable, iO Package, iO Silver, iO Gold. And there's the 4.95 Sports Pak. You don't need the Sports Pak to get OLN even though the website says so.

You don't? I ordered the Sports Pak when OLN was first added and never cancelled it.

any package on IO. Go with the silver package. It's a few bucks more, but you get everything youd want, all the HBOs etc.

Early in the year, before Cablevision offered the free OLN, my family purchased the sports pack for one week so we could watch opening night on OLN. By the time the week was up, Cablevision had agreed to carry OLN on their packages, and we canceled the sports pack. Go w/ the silver

Well, in Monmouth County....OLN is apart of the iO Package. You do not need the Sports Pak.

I'm on the Island and you don't need the SportsPak to get OLN. You did for opening night, but when they settled you no longer needed the SportsPak and I was able to cancel it and still get OLN with the IO Silver Package.

Thanks for the help guys. Pleased I don't have to get anything more than Family Cable + iO box. I have to reswitch from Satelite to Cable after having switched from Cable to at before last season.

Whether or not you need the sports pack depends on what level of service you have, and where you live. If you have the 9.95 digital package, or higher you should be fine in your area, I think. What's your zip? I can look your area up at work.

Center ice early bird should be coming real soon. I'll have to check on the date. I never bother to find out the exact dates cause I only follow one team till the playoffs. I believe it's like $119.00 but don't quote me on that.

No problem I checked it out. The $9.95 digital package + the $46.95 Family package will do it. Keep in mind the above doesn't include the boxes.

Also, just because I like to know everything, what will Cablevision do for MSG and FSNY 2 this season with channel 60 now used as SNY?

Your guess is as good as mine. They like to keep us guessing just as much as anyone else it seems. No programming changes have been announced, that I know. There's plenty of room, It'll probably say, right on this years schedule.

As far as centre ice goes, I gotta check when I get back to work in a few.
